Had a word with my lad about wanting more ball and promising signs in game 6 at Scarborough and in training all week so hopefully he will take a bit more responsibility with ball in hand . Richard is going to end up with headache soon as i think we have something like a 17 strong training squad at the mo.

thats great to read,i know richard said you had recruited a couple from crigglestone.im sure both teams will put on a good performance.we only had 12 train last night due to 6 been away on a school trip thankfully for us they should all be back home now.

having respect for your opposition is a good thing obviously you want your team to do well but its nice when you can tell someone from another team they have done well and you can tell them by their name.who knows in a few years time some of these players will play together at service area or even in the trailblazers or academy.

very good contest , think the lads took a little time to gel into the system but it was interesting to see how the defensive line of both teams coped . a draw would of been a fair result and it just came down to a better conversion rate but we will take the 16-14 win ... IIRC its the first time ste as been on the winning side at the cas ground and im sure not to many teams go there and win.

commiserations to the Crigglestone All Black that kept going to the end, I know they have suffer injuries to some players and some have moved on hope they have a successful season next year

,you seemed to have a lot more energy than what we had on the day.both teams defended well and i suppose it could of gone either way.

a lot of work to be done for us before we play stanningley on thursday.

Enjoyed the game, and as mutley says it is always played in the right spirit. Both teams stood up well defensively and there was never gonna be much in it (draw would have probably been a fairer result). Best of luck for Thursday, would come down and watch but will be sat by the pool at that point sinking a cold one





Well done to Stanley's under 12's, dont think you performed as well as you can (meant to be a compliment), but finals are about winning and that's what you did and reasonably comfortably in the end. Crig's number 13 was absolutley heartbroken at the end, never nice to watch the emotions of kids when they have lost.

tonights u10s game finished cas panthers 12 stanningley 18.

absolutely fantastic match and performance from both sides,by far and away the best u10s game ive seen this year with both sides going at it has though their lives depended on it.it wasnt settled until the last play of the game and a dissallowed try could of won it for us with the score at 14-12 but it wasnt given and stanningley went the length of the field to score the winner.

them are the games you like to see not one sided

stanley found enough in reserve to pull out a 16 all draw against their Bogey side shawcross.

stanley had 6 subs which causes many problems

tell me about it, at this leval its a nightmare and it does cost you games but keep looking at the bigger picture and in a couple of years we will be in a far better position than the teams who refuse to develope a squad in fear of losing a few games now.

Stanley had a good day in the district cup finals with wins against Westgate at 13's and Crigg at 14's. The sides played very well,fully deserved the cup, and both were Yorkshire division one champions too !
The 13's are a fantastic side, and the 14's are the best junior side I have ever seen, simply superb.
