Cover is a big thing but fev are signing well (addy reynolds minikin massey)york (i work with york fan and hes very confident)have and bulls have some decent players.this is why i said currently though as id guess wakey still have plenty of budget left and hopefully some frontline players are brought in esp down the spine and a bit of pace

Got to admit not to excited by our squad ,not a lot of pace in the three quarters, very old 6,and 9 with no pace , The spine cost us big time last season because of pace ,as did the the three quarters, Just keeping fingers crossed ,there are some signings to put pressure on the spine and speed brought in to the three quarters

I'm still on the fence with Lino. He doesn't lack speed but lacks direction. Hopefully Powell can fix that
Gale at his best is great but we are not realistically going to see that very often. We need a new half dominant halfback in my opinion
Hooker, we need to make sure Hood is fit. He was clearly carrying injuries but at his best he could shift. I thought Doyle was meant to have some speed but haven't seen him myself.
13 I think Powell likes a big pack so I think he'll pick a middle at 13.

I assume this is where the overseas recruits will be used. Hopefully we sign some gems that can improve us..

In answer to this part, I think Griffin will be the stand out for us. He could get a gig at most SL clubs and I think he'll tear defenses apart in Championship.
We just need to give him good ball.

I think there will be a few more to come in yet, and I think its difficult to make a fair comparison to other teams squads just yet.

We also need a winger with speed and a try scorer. We currently have McGillvray but only Kay who hasn’t played there much in a few years. He would do a decent job but he will be more utility and rotation next season.

We still haven’t replaced Fifita.

I would say 4/5 incoming need to be of SL quality players and real quality signings. As it currently stands we are a ways off as good as last seasons team which I believe cost around the same as this seasons.

I’m sure as players sign that will change but we absolutely do need a handful of quality signings before I get more excited.

We signed Franco and Kershaw is still a question mark.

I'm already excited about who we could bring in, with Ellis money.
But then again I was looking forward to who we were going to sign to replace Miller too so what do I know.

Don't get me wrong. I think we are ahead in terms of signings. Long way to go yet.

Nobody is moaning or making a scene and it’s called discussing where our team for next season is currently at and shaping up. You don’t need to come riding in on a white horse just yet.

We are where we expect and it’s positive but the squad needs some considerable investment still if it’s going to win the championship imo. I’m looking forward to seeing how that shapes up and some of the squads backbone is in place.

Franco still very much a project for me and was hit and miss in his handful of games last year. He would be solid back up though.

I do like Kershaw but if we can secure Walmsley I’m not sure where that will leave him. Would be happy for him to re sign though and think he’d score plenty in the championship and his carries from deep would be a bonus.

I’m also excited as in reality we haven’t got 17 players yet I don’t think of only just. There’s a lot more business to be done that’s for sure.

I would like us to try and get a good season loan signing or two sorted out with a couple of good/promising SL players. I’m sure the club are looking into that.

Actually we do have 19 now.

I’d expect around 25-30 players so we will have to wait and see who comes in.

We defo need some more decent front rowers, Kennedy would fit that mould for sure.

One thing you definitely need in the Championship is players with physical size who also have a reliable work rate but must stand up and be tough when the games become attritional.

Going away to places like Batley, Halifax & up to Cumbria will be real tough tests, they make it so. If we are to win those types of matches, games that become a slog down the middle, we have to have the ability to scrap tooth and nail and win the arm wrestle.

We need a couple of big front rowers who won’t wilt on a freezing, wet, Tuesday night in Barrow.

Though I would hope we have some quality players in that list above. A big signing at prop, wing and halfback is needed. It would be great to get Tanginoa over the line though for sure. Him and young Boothroyd interchanging on left edge could do some damage. The benefit of Tanginoa is he can if needed be used at prop but as a wide runner he would be excellent in the championship if we. An stretch defences.

Young and keen with something to prove rather than a Hampshire or Miller. Both were great for us but both turned their backs on us too and this is a new era.
