I too thought it was grounded but with not having clear evidence it was hard to call it, must be hard for the camera man having players coming at you at speed and trying to balance the camera correctly couldn't of been any worse blurred and just about out of shot plus the flag pole in the way

There was one view were it showed he had the ball down, they looked at it once and the rest of the time they showed view that made it hard to go against the ref J S looks like a nother good signing by W Poaching

Bowden did look good when he came on. Miller got stuck in, took the line on and put some big hits in. Shaul is a quality player.
If we stop up I'd like to see us sign Tumivave.

I don’t. I think collectively it was an incredible performance by the squad but there were individuals who could’ve done better. Battye was one of them, he hasn’t been “good” for us in a long time but that’s not to say he was bad last night, just ok imo.

Happy with Shaul, I’d imagine for a one club man to make a loan move to a team struggling at the bottom of the table it’d be tough to motivate yourself but think he’s made a real impact.

Trinity’s turn around in form has coincided with Shaul’s arrival. He’s still got some pace with ball in hand aswell. Good signing. Make it permanent along with Bowden….

he only did 25 mins but he did 11 tackles and only missed one, 5 drives was a low count but I was impressed that he made zero errors now that is something to praise him with at least, he was quick to compliment the tackling player that Fafita picked up the lose ball and scored from, that's the difference between a super league standard and championship player the vision to capitalize from errors

surprised he came but pleased he did, yes he has had a difference, change does most times like dropping Battye it made him think about his game

I've always liked him, i also thought Bowden showed up well, and looks a better long term solution than Butler has so far.

Butler has age on his side so an off season may help, but short term Bowden is clearly better.

Be interesting to see how they both show up against Hull.

Especially pleasing that Cas were also interested in Shaul but we got him.

2023 I think. He’s young and just needs some work on weights and fitness imo. He was okay when he played but willing to give him some time.

He's getting similar stick to what Whitbread got early doors. Things change.

Shaul is on loan, but sometimes loanees have a clause that they must not play against their home side, would be interested to know that one.
Bowden also could be effected

That was because people didn’t notice the graft Whitbread put in early doors. I have rated him most of the season but I’m glad others are seeing it recently now. He’s technically very good and has a great engine. I do hope that we sign him up for next season. He’s another prop who’s about to come into his best years.

No I think you and a few others have got this wrong. We did all notice the graft but RL is full of those at all levels.

What yo want from a quota player is a bit more than that. We were not getting that on my opinion.

However he’s now stepped up and if not a wow player he’s certainly a model pro and highly effective.

In a few years he could possibly get a spot back in the NRL, so Trinity is a good place for him.

What you really want from your overseas is the Dave and Bills of this world. However as the NRL grows there are ever less of those. In which case you Whitbread as potential players are the next best thing. Looks like we struck lucky on this one.
