If it’s possible to keep them for a few years (not sure of their lifespan) then it might be worth it. If they’re on rental then it might not be a stretch to actually purchase them. I’m sure the club will do what’s best for them.

I can’t quite imagine how the seating is gonna look/work, if they do, then after the East stand is built leave them in, unless it’s some h&s issue, lack of exits, toilets etc.

I think they would prefer open space at that end for emergencies.
Once we have the East Stand complete, there seems little point in having the temporary stand to me.

No they don't. In the past the club has asked to place seating at the front of the flats. It was rejected for fear of falling objects. Silly arguments when you look at how many overlapping 2 and 3 tier stands there are. Maybe new planning people at WMDC are more reasonable.

I think the seating should be kept if possible, gives a great option for away fans who may wish to be at the end even if it's only sitting. Will also look way better on TV.

I know in Italy they use what looks like netting that protects those below from most objects I can imagine other than say an office desk. I'm guessing that's what we are using or we are shutting the boxes.

The further away from the boxes the new stand is the lower it must be or you impede the view from the bar. It is also restricted at the sides because of access to the changing rooms and for the emergency services.

The problem with netting is that it’s quite a porous structure and do football clubs allow drinks to be consumed in the stands.

How much better does that look!!! I can't see any reason why we can't retain that. It can't cost a fortune and basically you have a proper end with extra seating.

Yes, it does look good and would be great if they could be retained for the foreseeable future. I understand that drinks are now Not allowed to be taken onto the hospitality balconies to protect the people in the seats, but it only takes one idiot to undo all the good work and cause grief to the club and spectators.

Hate to say it, but nailed on to happen with some of the tools that end up on the balconies....
