Good game to be fair - terrible conditions for chucking it about but both teams played some good stuff

. (point well made that these are only 9-10 year old lads!)
Feared the worst early on when Stanley looked far better but fair play to the Crigg lads for coming back with only kicks seperating the teams in the end ,would of been nice to see the 2 teams on a nice sunny day !
Good to see Mutley again & all the best for Scarborough .

I thought the standard of rugby last night was excellent from both teams as I stated during the presentation, i think there were only 3 ar 4 knock on's during the whole game and two of them came from unexpected off loads

We started very brightly and should have been out of sight by half time but we gave away two sloppy tries to keep Crigg in the game. Got to say the second half was a different game and Crigg played some nice rugby and didn't deserve to lose the game in the end. Games like that are a credit to the standard of group one at this age group, and as I said at the end of the game the scoreline wasn't the most important thing, the skill on display was

Agreed, very good game played in poor conditions. A couple of the Stanley tries would have gone to the big screen, but the score didn't really matter as the game was the winner.

BTW - excellent take from the young lad (Stanley) who caught the ball that came down with snow on it!!

was probably a match turning moment as crigg could of easily scored from a repeat set

V.good and fair reflection on the game - nice comment at the end too . There's the obvious local rivalry , but like to think that you could go to a club knowing that the reception is going to be ok, sadly though that's not always the case !

Eyup - here we go again - more group movement .Wibsey down this time so now only 9 teams in the top group .With no game for us this weekend and with us playing in France it looks like we've only 5 games left .

well we was shocking after the first 10 mins they just took us apart and we ended up getting nilled, I think they managed 38 in the end,

stanley rangers u14s managed to be victorious over dewsbury moor though well done to them lads

i dispair at times,we have eastmoor again and shaw cross those two teams will have made up more than a 1/4 of all our fixtures by the end of the year, the game at eastmoor will be the 3rd time we have gone their.

Yes, they are the best junior side I have seen in many years, full of big tough orrible aggressive buggers, and thats just the Mum's dad's and coaches



I do think some of those boys will have a bright future in the game with a bit of luck. I can only remember the time I played at that age, and I would have needed Anusol not wintergreen if I had to play against them

Stanley Rangers u 10's attended the Scarborough Rugby Festival this weekend, and had a great time both on and off the field. We played 6 games over the two days, winning four (Against Thatto Heath, Atherton Dragons, Shevington Sharks and Garforth Tigers), and only losing two (Only 1-0 against Cas Panthers, and 2-0 against Newton Storm who haven't lost for two years!!). To say we only took 9 players and it was 9 a side we did extremley well, rattling in 17 tries in our four wins, with most other teams having between 12 to 15 and up to as many as 19 players!! Very well organised tournament and the kids had a great time, as did the parents





Think we finished outright second or possibly joint second with Cas Panthers. Think we did the area proud, between us we (us and Panthers) played the best rugby out of all the teams on show.

yes a very good weekend,a poor start cost us any chance of finishing top but that said we finished with three wins, two draws and 1 defeat to finish level with stanley on 8 points,think we just sneaked second on points difference

15 for and 7 against for us.

yes i completely agree the best rugby was palyed by us and stanley with newton very much reliant on 1 player who is a class act,19 players and never made 1 sub against us they are very keen on playing us in a 13 a side game in the summer and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

we had a great time over the weekend capped by an old timer going the full length in the dads vs lads game " which we won

out pacing his son to score the decicive try although i think ive done a hamstring in the process.

think we might just of sneaked the points diff
