Basically WTF was agar thinking?

Afraid to say this lads but this switching players about only shows one thing and that's Agar is clutching at straws its busted and he don't know how to fix it.

Someone said before the game that with that team selection Agar was committing professional suicide.
Certainly worked out that way.

First time I've seen harry for what its worth my opinion of the lad , he played OK behind a beaten pack his kicking game was OK , his tackling was useless how anyone can suggest playing him at fullback the way clarkie shrugged him aside on a one on one to score answered that, not slating the kid but I slagged Issac john for his lack of pace for a stand off but this kid isn't in the same class as a footballer and is just as slow , as a half back I prefer wildie and allyou who say wildies a hooker ain't seen the lad play as a junior and have the same attitude as our coach not prepared to put a bit of time in developing players potential

I actually feel for Wildie he stood in for Aiton a couple of times and let no one down and had a decent game against Wigan.I thought when Aiton went we would have used him saying as money was tight but we went and brought McShane in.Not knocking McShane he has put effort in and at least tried to spark us into life.

Mcshane needs spelling to get the best out of him. For me Wildie is the best man for that job.

Spot on for me mate as McShane cant do 80 mins as we know and thats why I thought it madness letting Wildie go on loan.Mind you looking at Agars selections of late anything can happen.

You say that as though hooker is the specialist role it used to be - it isn't is it, the hooker is just a third half back nowadays!

Don't say it like that at all ,what I do say is hookers main roll still is dummy half, half backs have a more creative roll or hadn't you noticed

Wildie scored 2 tries today for Doncaster playing at 7.

Yes, I'm aware of the hookers role, my point really is that there isn't as much difference between the roles nowadays as there used to be.
Half back or hooker, I'd have Wildie back in the starting 17.

It's all well and good glorifying Wildie when he isn't here but when he played halfback in the bigger games he was not able to do it.
I've seen him have good games but they tend to be the wild broken defense type games.
When you need someone to organise the team and get them moving I'm not sure it's him.

In younger age group he is clearly the leader so he has it in him but it's a big step and plenty of others have gone exactly the same way.
Hooker allows him to distribute rather than organise. Different skill set even though similar roles these days.

I'd love him to turn that corner and until we started signing people again he was scrum half for the season. I guess we'll never know now.

And to preempt Tryscorer, I get the fact that may be down to coaching.

Have to agree with you pop tart when Wildie has played half back I have not been over impressed but when he has played at hooker like last season when Aiton was out a couple of games I thought he was a lot better and had some good games and didn't let anyone down.

Wildie can tackle, Seiker can`t, players should be in training 7 days a week working on defence, letting in 50 points a match in case coaching staff have not noticed. Another heads up, Walshaw can tackle Briscoe can`t . You do not need a level 4 badge to see that we can`t or will not defend. I would rather lose 12 nil than be given a 40 odd 20 thrashing by Cas. I fear that today could be a 70,80, 90 odd thrashing.

Exactly what I pointed out belly defencivley harry looked weak can't say I've seen wildie given much chance at half back except when we were on a hiding to nowt at places like Wigan with half a team eh not being wildies champion but when did agar come here about 3seasons wildies would have been about 21 he wasn't prepared to develop him as a halfback gave 7 shirt to woody what did that tell wildie your not my choice mate like I say not championing wildie but I don't rate agars judgement or his ability to make something of potensial

Only realised Harry hasn't played a competitive game for 10 months.
He isn't going to just bring his A game on day one.
If fit Godinet should take SH back and Siejka comes in gradually.

I think Harry became surplus to requirements when we bagged Sammut; by that point though, it was too late to renege, so he's here and RA is trying to use him.

Personally, I think he just adds to the confusion.

It was starting to work and we looked to be having a promising half partnership. I haven't been these last 2 games but I look at the team sheets and sigh every week at the likes of Washbrook, Sykes starting and players playing out of position. Totally barmy, when other teams get injuries they don't start messing with the whole team so why do we.

As I understand it, he was trying for him before Sammut came, and was then stuck. Wasn't his choice to honour the deal as far as I know.
If it had been my choice, I would have backed out of it.

Exactly my take on it, using him for using hims sake. The sammut/godinet partnership was starting to go well
