You have also signed a new team with some class but not consistent and some are liabilities I personally think your team is well over hyped and can't see you having much of an impact Smith and Chase are your playmakers but played for lower placed teams last season both can go missing and have weaknesses. I am sure our coach will be out to exploit that.

Have all played together, Puletua and Meli have played together for years, Morley and Chase have played together for England as has Hock, I've seen the team play, al be it in terrible conditions we went good, no one looked out of place and some great plays from smith and Chase.

Listen I don't want to put any team down, I just think some of the comments coming from opposition fans about Salford are very premature, none of you have seen us play and don't know our strengths Chase will not be our only attacking threat like he was at Cas, we have a lot more up our sleeve than that. one thing I will say is our defence is very strong from what I've seen, and we've got some big guys out wide, let's hope your wingers and centres are decent tacklers!

Compare our 17 to your 17 man for man, ours is a lot stronger and has far more big game experience.

Personally, I think Salford provide the most interest this year, in seeing how they do. I really hope the Doctor builds an empire. The more big clubs in the game the better. I just hope they lose tomorrow.

Fair enough on paper your team is a lot stronger, however games aren't won and paper and you can't go off pre-season games as how players play.
You have also got to take into the fact that some players are only in it for the money, why not its a short career - doesn't mean they are gonna be world-beaters every time they play especially when a lot of them are hooked on long term deals so they don't feel pressured to perform every week to earn that contract for instance.
I am very interested to see what Salford do this season and I am glad we have the DR in the game as he is a breath of fresh air but ashame bigheaded people come and think they're it after not even playing 1 round of SL.

I agree to a certain extent that it will be interesting to see how their year goes. The most interest for me though is in how we go.See how this team stacks up against others, particulalry when all the comings and goings are finished and we know who our strongest 17 are.

Dont mind admitting that i am more than a bit nervous for Sunday.Yes Salford have assembled a good squad but there again i think Wakey have got a very decent squad as well.All the pressure is going to be on Salford to get the result and that can make a big difference on teams either positively or negatively so will depend on how the pressure is handled.
I for one will not be underestimating WTW one little bit.They do have a habit of turning us over.
However it goes on Sunday i hope you guys have a great season.Mr Carter has done a fantastic job for your club and recruited a good looking team.

Wakefield were brilliant second half, controlled the ruck like champions!
In my opinion Salford bossed the first half but totally fell off second half after Chase went off, far to many penalties given away to add to that Smith was totally stopped from playing by his old team mates, but hey a win is a win we'll be fine when we gel properly.
Wakefield if they play that well every week will definitely not be in the relegation places.

A fair assessment. Just came up short but having seen that performance today we can only get better. Had Sammutt been playing today he may have been on the end of one of McShane's breaks. , nevertheless a heartening second half performance.
