lewis has lost a yard of pace and is moving from to second row to strengthen up the tackling in the middle and putting more weight to the pack, to be honest he wasn't happy about it but realises that he has to work on his speed, something that I have been telling him for a year now but he is now prepared to work with me on it.

cas panthers u10s made the short trip to garforth tigers with the game finishing 6-38 to the panthers,again a good team effort from us moving the ball around very impressively,we have now had 13 different try scorers in our last three games which is an impressive stat for any team at any level.

how many players do heworth have these days,the last twice we have played them all be it last year they only came with 8 players,we are at home to them next week and if they only have 8-9 players we will look to call the game off,no point in us having 17 players for a 9 a side game and with it been a bank holiday there is no point tying everyone down to a nothing game when its the magic weekend.

hes wonderful and sets an fabbabydozey record which is 2 nd to none, im surprised ganson hasn't crapped him self about the level of competition coming in trough the junior set up. yes hes great its a bit like putting G Fawkes in charge of the after match firework celebration.

think we will give it a wide berth tbh i dont see the point of having kids stood on the sideline half the game while the other team get to play there strongest 9 for the entire game.

at our game today both sides had 15 players available and we asked if we could play 12 or 13 a side which they refused saying that their 4 subs were rubbish and it would be an advantage to us by playing the extra boys,how they expect them to get any better stood on the touchline i dont know

If they bring a ref , just check which rules your'e playing first though - they're not 7-8 year olds !

i tried explaining to him that the marker could move as soon as the acting half as moved its feet, he laughed and said no that's where your wrong its as soon as as he passes the ball . i then explained that meant that if the acting half decided to scoop and run by his definition no one could tackle him



he pulled my lad for tackling the acting half as he was moving sidewards with that stutter that they do pretending to pass , he also pulled him for tackling the first receiver as our ste moves as soon as the AHB moves.

no we arnt playing this weekend,giving the kids a weekend off ahead of scarborough but extra training next week.

the fixtures for scarborough look good, newton storm the team to beat looking at what they have been doing-un beaten since u8s and and their defence hardly let in any points.

it is usually around a 10.30 start and finishes around 3.pm although has u know these days can drag on a bit,it will be the same format as last year up to now we have sent out invites to lock lane,townville,garforth,oulton and yourselves and we have entered two teams.

ive had a quick look on the newton storm website and there results and match reports are on their,it looks like they arnt put into groups in the north west counties u10s and everybody plays everyone although from our previous meetings with them they are a very good side especially defencively "only conceded 80 points from 19 games this season
