cas panthers u12s went down 18-16 in a scoreling that flattered us after giving a bitterly dissapointing performance.

the only positive i could find is we have a semi final to try and put things right next week.

that's suprised me I have to say .

We beat Stanningley 26-16 . Raced into an early 20-0 lead and looked really good in the first half , scored again early in the second and then switched off !
But with the lock lane points deduction we're now top ( don't know what's happened there - certainly ain't fair on the players )!
Hopefully arrange a game next week , & then the final the week after

shame we can not play the stanley match but they are busy .


can not believe that what ever happen was bad enough to punish the lock lane players , very unfair and unjust . some folk must O D on horlicks just to get 40 winks.

as for east leeds and cas . east leeds can do that to you and make every team look poor when east leeds do what they do best. still scratching my head as to what went wrong that day although i think the 2 mile detour was planned

Horrid bitter windy conditions didn't stop the Stanley Ranger U14s take control from the start,
playing down hill in the first half they racked up a 26-0 lead that wasn't to be threatened, Dewsbury Moor never gave in and manged two tries but the final score ended 42-10

Next week we entertain our fellow division team Dudley Hill in the preliminary round of the Barla National cup which will be a nice warm up for the Barla County cup the week after that

wtf has gone off with lock lane for them to have the wins against stanningley and eastmoor taken away from them and the league points be given to those two sides.

surely it cannot have anything to do with last week has that would have no bearing on the stanningley and eastmoor games,i was at the eastmoor game and nobody played who shouldnt have done.

Couldn't agree more - I wonder if they'd do this in a " proper" season, not this interim one ? Just isn't right in my eyes .

think you all have this wrong its the kids fault for not paying the fines and I think they have been lenient on them,

bizarre beyond belief , and i agree [uIF[/u its fines . one thing for sure is that if it is instead of fines they have come out of it pretty well . 2 teams get 2 points cas p drop a place in league that means not a lot (tell that to the boys

its like a bitter sweet victory the joy they can take is both crigg and rangers beat lane and cross.

all shaw cross junior teams lost 4 points because a £15 fine hadn't been paid, their coach was a bit cheesed off to say the least. just like to say that they play some excellent rugby chucking the ball at pace from wing to wing and if 2 teams go up they are very deserving of 1 of the places. what time is the crigg under 12 game at on sunday?

If it is related to non-payment of fines then the punsihment seems at odds with the constitution.

Nothing about retrospectively changing the result of a previously played match.

I hadn't realised that last sunday's league was Stanley U14s last of the winter league due to the successful cup runs that has seen us into two finals and also entering the Barla national, its a shame that we only managed 7 games won five and lost two as we had to play both Oulton and Normanton again.

due to the YJL not recognising a winner its a shame that Oulton and Normanton couldn't of gone on to claim it but no doubt they will be ready again in March to do battle once more.

here's wishing for a more competitive league next year

its been a panto season all apart from cups , i wonder how the YJL are going to recognize the teams that finished on top of the lower leagues and if promotion is an issue .although its unfair to drop a team after a irregular season i suppose and in the case of the 12s the run away leaders came unstuck when pitted against the bottom div 1 club .

mutts with all due respect there never was any prizes for the mini league season neither was their ever going to be promotion and relegation at the end of it,the yj were just viewing the results has a guide to where teams need to be for the start of march then it will be the real deal.

expect to see 4 groups of 10 or 3 groups of 12 dependant on how many teams enter the summer league so i guess you will see the likes of stanley,shaw cross,oulton raiders and heworth joining the 6 sides that have played the mini season.

A cracking win for Stanley Rangers Reds U13's this morning, away at Wetherby Bulldogs; not sure of the final score, but some outstanding attacking play saw Stanley run away with it - 46-4 or thereabouts.

Interesting clash of coaches btw - both teams coached by WTW old boys.
