our season comes to an end soon but under 11s should be just starting theirs, no problem with playing a year above his age as well, we have one lad that does and turned in a great game today, we train weds and fridays

Crigg lost today against Shaw Cross 26-24 this morning . Could of won, but every player for Crigg missed their kicks and so that was that . Great game in the first half but the refereeing was a shambles in the second half (our ref !- Mutley knows him well !!) which meant it just became stop ,start with every decision being questioned from the coaches - spoilt a great game . Kids enjoyed it though and the parents from both sides had a laugh about it after anyway .

cas panthers u10 travelled to wibsey with the game finishing 6-48 to the panthers.

games like this do nobody any good the only pleasing aspect was we stuck to the game plan and players didnt get greedy wanting to score has we finished with 9 tries and 8 different scorers,felt sorry for the wibsey boys they were very frustrated and a few shead tears,thankfully the ref didnt play stoppage time for injuries has we would still have been playing now.

Most teams at Shaw Cross don't get many chances to kick, at least the teams my little one plays in don't



Trained last tuesday, played wednesday, trained thurs, played sat, play tues, train thurs play sat, play sun and they reckon the easter periods bad at SL level. Pussies.

Normanton knights made it through to the semi final of the barla national cup yesterday beating rylands sharks 31 - 26 in a quality game. Was the third game in eight days for normy having travelled to millom the week before and Milford last Wednesday evening so the result was even more remarkable. Queens at home in the semi final on 24th April should be a huge crowd and a great game. Will be well worth the £2 admission fee so make a date in your diaries for this one and give your backing for the first Wakefield based team to reach the final of the pinnacle event in amateur rugby league

just to let spongebob know looking at the fixtures we are down to go to crigglestone on may the 8th,we informed the fixture secratary 2 months ago and again a fortnight since that we are at scarborough that weekend and wont be able to play a league fixture.

cas panthers u10s met inform shaw cross but they were no match for the panthers with the game finishing 28-4,best team display of the year by us the players did everything asked of them in training and are sharing the workload very well.

a tough game and a different approach to the game than what stanley are used to , its gratifying to see that the boys are improving but annoying lets say that different clubs interprete the rules differently. i got asked today if ive ever been big enough to ref a game ....lets say ive dipped my toe in the waters before and i can appreciate how tough it is .
However if you step up to be the man you have got a major responsibility for the safety of the players , i think its about time that only qualified officials take control of the matches as having someones dad or coaches best bud is really stepping backwards.

however all players gave a fab display of rugby.

at u10s and upwards there should be an official referee appointed,for me it stinks of the host club either trying to get one over on the opposition or they are just too hard up to pay the ref a few quid,you know who the clubs are that dont have a proper ref before you go and the majority of the time the game is tarnished in one way or another.

personally ive always enjoyed our games against heworth and they have some good players no doubt if the coach and parents are alittle over the top.

churwell beat stanningley today under 11's and at last stood up to the mark in defence..my little un (really under 10) made some great tackles and at dummy half took the ball in and distributed really well..well done chiefs today!

unders 8s playing at borstal victoria this morning , off i go to see 6 year olds putting 101% effort in.... take note !!

Stanley Rangers was crown division two champs tonight due to East Leeds not for filling the last fixture this Wednesday so we have two points by default,
shame really as the lads wanted to do it style having not lost all year

were still in training to take on Hunslet Parkside and Crigglestone All Blacks in the two finals in May
