I have been keeping an eye on this thread since page 1 to see how many pages it would spawn and, maybe, gleam some information (no joy there).
Unfortunately it has degenerated into the usual written slanging match.
We are Trinity, they are Cas, and for 80 (or 90) minutes 2 or more times a season let there be fierce and bitter rivalry.
Other than that some of you seriously need to get a life.

Well i. Know somone who works for the club and knows what it is but wont let on what it is but there is two anoucments

the mrs knows someone too how has been working in the background and has been sworn to keep it a secret,

now I don't mind this at all because its doing what we all want it to do and that is talk about the club

i was told something in the bookies today and it was by a avid castleford fan he had been in hoffmans butchers in town and was told something by the propietor you couldnt make it up lol know one knows but if its true id be more than happy lol will have to wait and see

That is because the only two people who know the full extent of what is happening are Andrew Glover and James Elston, that was comfirmed by AG himself to a prominent poster on here who was at that meeting. He could of course be fibbing, the poster that told me could be fibbing also, and I might be making it up as well, rumours eh

I will give you a clue as to who the poster is though, he has posted on this thread more than once

I'm impressed that there hasn't been any leaks from the club as yet.

Was told today that Glover has bought Belle Vue and is going to redevelop it. Was also told that the meeting is regarding moving to GH with cas. Gotta love rumours!

Why does it have to be a secret ? I think more people would attend if some idea was given as to what was to be discussed. It makes me think that this most important news could be something we dont want to hear such a a possible merger with castleford to ensure superleague status . If AG said " its about redeveloping Belle VUe" i for one would turn up to find out the details. If he said " Its about new investment " again i would turn up to find out who is investing , how much etc . However i think we are being kept in the dark because its either going to be an anti-climax like JKs "exciting player to be signed soon" announcement or its news that AG intends to take the club in a direction the die hard supporters will be unhappy about and he doesnt want any organised protests at the announcement

If it is an anti climax, then AG will have made a calculated mistake and it will backfire, goodwill and support will be lost.
However a well kept secret may keep us one step ahead.
Who knows? One thing is for certain, it's got people talking!!

There again it could be good news! I really can't see AG going to all this trouble otherwise.
If it was bad news I would think the club would release the information through the media rather than face to face with the fans. We've had a few false dawns, so here's hoping for something substatial on the 8th.

What the announcement states is:

"If you have our great club at heart..."

Last time anyone said similar, it was accompanied by a request to raise half a million quid in a month.

"...you need to be there, and I can assure you, you will not be disappointed."

OK, so no requests for large sums of money this time. In fact, it looks like plain, boring old good news to me... Some people will doubtless be disappointed, but I can't see the sting in the tail here. Why not just take the guy at face value and see what he comes up with? It's nice to have something positive to look forward to, isn't it?
