The points deduction was very much tongue in cheek AFAIK there would be no mechanism for docking any club league points for not playing reserve fixtures.
However, running academy and reserve sides should be a pre requisite for all SL clubs and not done on a "play if/when you want basis.
They have failed to raise a side for any of their reserve fixtures.
I know that we're mickey poor and we are where we deserve to be.
However, if they glean advantage, maybe even make the play offs whilst not fulfilling other "lower grade" fixtures, it's not right.

Leigh doesn’t have a reserve team. No idea why we were even included in the fixture list.

I believe DB was prevented a few years back from establishing an academy (leading into reserves etc) by the RFL as it could dilute the player pool for the other SL teams on our doorstep.

Regarding the above post, which category are you expecting "reserves/youth section" to come under? Because under the widely-published IMG points-scoring system, it's not there. You do need to have an Elite Acadamy licence to have a shot at category A status, but that's only likely to be 3 or 4 clubs in the near future.

We've signed a Papua New Guinean called Nixon Putt for next season but are trying to get him over early.

Re Riley Dean, I heard this morning that he's gone off the boil recently and that some Fev fans aren't too disappointed that he's leaving ??

He was recalled by Warrington and was in their squad last weekend.

Fev fans wanted him back, he has done well for them but its generally not difficult to play half back when they are dominating most games.

Riley Dean has now gone on loan to Castleford.

He played very well for Fev in the early parts of the season especially when he was partnered by Johnno Ford. He had taken a lot of big hits as the season went on and wasn't quite as effective in recent weeks when partenered by the promising but inexperienced Thomas Lacans.

He has some of the attributes you need in a good half back (understands shape and how to create openings, has a cut-out pass, can be a threat running the ball) but he isn't yet the type to take a game by the scruff of its neck or be an onfield game manager, and his defence is very weak.

Jeez Warrington are awful.

Very few team are consistent throughout a season ,even saints have had their wobbles early doors this year and are just getting back to some form . Deservedly you’ve got plenty of points in the bag early doors so no big deal on that front and have done far better than a lot predicted but I fear saints will be too big an ask come July ,but a semi final in your first year back is nothing short of outstanding. A tough ask this weekend at the home of the Dragons will see if that form has deserted you , should be a cracker .
