No it isn't and therein lies the problem. I was saying last night I really wouldn't be bothered if we got rid of both of them as long as we got in 2 who can defend. Ben Cockayne was stood right next to Ben Jones-Bishop for their second try and he didn't even attempt to challenge him for the ball. He may as well not have been on the pitch in that instance that's how little pressure he put on him. Now, imagine Ryan Hall in the same position. Would he have just stood and watched his opposite number pluck the ball out of the air and plonk it down without even jumping with him?

I retract that. It was a stupid comment. However, you gave no reasoning as to who was better than him tonight. I'm interested to hear.

| You can't just blame the wingers because try s are scored in the corner, the whole team are supposed to slide across and smother the attacking wingers out.
Foxy twice had to fly in and make a tackle on a player with two men outside him, once it came off and he made a fantastic tackle and one he missed and resulted in a try. He will only have gone for the tackles due to having no other choice (it's desperate stuff!)

I slightly agree but I thought last night Fox could have given the defence time to get across by "shepherding" the Leeds player so to speak. It's not really the main problem with our defence outwide, I think the main problem is our winger's inability to defend kicks. I've lost count of how many times we concede from kicks to our wingers. Their kick defence is shockingly bad and they can't seem to catch a ball under pressure (a hard task I know but they're paid to be able to do it!)

| At the end of the day week in week out our line defence is failing, and its not just the fault of one player. For me it is the structure that we are using and that is the responsibility of the coach to fix....

| I thought are defence was pretty good last night goal line especially.
Yes the structure is wrong with wingers shooting in to stop the play.
It looks bad when it doesn't come off.
How many times have we seen that this season?
Nearly every game!
Good teams exposé this.
I think it needs to change but does Mr Agar?

| Defence was strong. Its simple too much dropped ball/simple errors. Cut them out and we'd have one. Hopefully that will happen next Friday night.
Looking forward to seeing big Taulima Tautai get on the pitch and carry on from where he left off. He'll have to play prop to cover the absence of Raleigh for the season now. Strange Annakin didn't get a run ahead of Trout?

I agree. Perhaps Mathers needs to teach them, as for the last few weeks he has successfully caught high bombs whilst under a lot of pressure (I was expecting him to drop it last night).

Agar has never liked Mariano, in spite of numerous good pefomances from the games I've seen. His judgement of players is suspect.

To be fair, we have Tuson coming, who is a far superior player IMO.

| The reason Frankie is going is because he thinks he's worth more than what we offered and agar told him to prove it. Cas called his bluff offering more money but a short time scale offer. Who knows perhaps if he had the HEART to take a gamble and prove his worth he may have got more. He didn't and we've got a better player coming in in Tuson. Mariano is great runnning at weak teams. Once it gets rough and tough he's off like a shot. Catalans and hull away being pee examples. I'd he had the effort and heart of such as kirmo he'd be devastating and better teams than Cas would be in for him.

But yet he made him an offer. His judgement seem fine to me, obviously no Coach in the world is going to get everything right but Agar imo does get far more right then wrong.
Like what has already been said we have a better player coming anyway in Tuson.
I'd have liked him to stay but he choose not wait & prove he was worth the money he was asking and decided to take more money but only a one year deal that Cas were offering. He could have probably got a longer better deal, if he had decided to show Agar that he was worth it but I bet this is what Agar thought he would do, take the easy root.

| like most on here ive only seen tuson looking useful in a very good wigan side, now im not a Frankie worshiper but saw him as a player with potential and im certain hed have looked just as useful playing in that wigan side, but folk have already made their minds up who the better player is , I think im gonna wait and see how he does in our envirement when you don't find it easy most games and have to roll your sleeves up and take the hard knocks

| I think Tuson is a good player and i reckon he's the right type of player for this club and i welcome him.
Thing is if the signing had been touted 6 months ago many on here would have said " Tuson" who's he then, now all of a sudden he's a better player.
Talk about blowing with the wind.

| Must admit I've only been aware of Tuson since his loan spell at Cas a while back. You know how it is, you want them to be crap.
He has come more to the fore in the recent depleted Wigan team.
Don't really see him as a replacement for Mariano though.

| I knew that Tuson would be a decent player from his loan spell at Cas as they would like to have kept him at the time. Also there was another Wigan player on loan to KR at same time and he didn't turn out too bad either.
