He told me I payed my money and am entitled to an opinion but he doesn't gag me about my job and to F off. He obviously cares about our club and supporters!

I was shocked to see Blaymire play ahead of Tony. I personally think that Tony has looked good in the 2 games he has played so far.

For a so called professional sports man, the condition Hickey has arrived in his a utter disgrace. That said, JK and co surely should have had/ordered him to follow some conditioning plan prior to his delayed arrival in the UK.

He's fat, totally unfit and a liability for the team. Playing 10 to 20 mins per 80 min game from a SL pro is totally unacceptable.

Get him out the team and get him fit before he plays again.

Any coach letting a player in this state take to the field needs to take a good long hard look at himself.

We effectively signed hickey in nov/dec last year...

Maybe we didnt dot the I's cross the T's ... but we fully intended to sign him when we could... Yes he wasnt getting paid at this point but surely the motivation of a possible contract / sl career if we either sign him or someone else did after he put in some decent performances was enough to get him into some kinda shape.

Obv he has never been a small lad... but the condition hes come in is a joke... too many BBQ's and beers at home me thinks.

What bloody mess. Are you telling me Gledhill could not do a better job than this guy is currently doing? What a complete waste of a squad place. We may be struggling but there is no way that Hickey should be allowed anywhere near our match day squad on what I have seen of him. Winterstein, Leaeno now Hickey do we ever learn.

At least Winterstein and Leaeno turned up with a reasonable level of fitness.

At the end of the day we all like a beer after a crappy day, however an unfit pro sportsman posting thank god for beer in the public domain after a fifty point drubbing is hardly the right thing to do. Have a beer yes I don't begrudge you of that but don't go rubbing it in our faces it makes it look like you don't give a toss.

If you were to tell Speirs, Trout or Slater that the were to feature in games in four weeks time once we had the paper work sorted out then I am sure every one of them would have been fit (maybe not match fit but) and ready to take their chance.

In fairness to him I know he's working hard to get into better shape and if/when he does he's a different animal to what we are seeing now.

The fault, if there is any, lies with his selection for 1st team duty, if JK says your picked what's he supposed to do?

I know everyones unhappy at the level of fitness he has arrived with but the guys 6'6" and obviously has a propensity to put weight on, he's been denied the chance to train with a team and hasn't played for a year so it's easy or a bloke of that size to be 2 stone overweight really quickly.

Could he have turned up fitter, yes but there must have been times over th last 6 months when he looked on from Thailand and thought the deal with Trinity would never happen and that he'd played his last game of Rugby League, in those circumstances it must be really hard to motivate yourself to train like a professional Rugby League payer needs to.

Let's not alienate this bloke before we get to see what he offers us when fit!

is it the same one you ahve at Belle Vue?? the one I saw was a pretty good player!

however you have to remember that some players are trained specifically to play a role in NRL and play in a very structured set up... they do their job and everybody else does their job.... and the team play well... take the structure away and the individual looks less effective.
