Let’s send in those objections for the planning application! Only one way to ensure the council have no way out and that is to OBJECT...let’s do it on the portal like last time!
https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/onlin ... TC8QQK4A00
Maybe TRB can help us with a templated objection comment again?

Surely same template as the last app will do, talking of which has a decision been made on that.

| Probably so, yes.
The other application deadline has been pushed back to 9th November. Realistically speaking, this means the council wants more time to find a way out. But if we can object to this application too, and cause another delay, then both the Council and Yorkcourt will be in a really tough position!

| On news again about the demand outweighing supply for big warehouses with the big distribution warehouses becoming the high street of the future. Newmarket probably on of the best locations for motorway network in the north of England you’d have thought York court and the council would have attracted enough business to sell the development twice over by now.

Absolutely mate, it stinks. They can't put warehousing up quick enough around Cas, seems to be another link road every 6 months which quickly become lined with new warehousing which are soon occupied.
Newmarket is in an equally good position motorway wise so why is nothing being built? I think we both know the answer.

I walk past the Balne Lane playing fields twice a day and there isnt a hope in hell of a stadium being built there.
However, there could be possibilities for community facilities, which may allow for a re development of BV
We all need a blue moon, flying pig and the end of a rainbow to converge on Wakefiled simultaneously and even then it still seems more unlikely than the odds for something to happen.
Its SIX YEARS since the Newmarket development was passed and still nothing and the poor residents of Stanley and Methley wake up to the big white box, shame on WMDC ![DEPRESSED icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//a054.gif)

The Balne Lane site is feasible for the community stadium think this has been confirmed by the stadium trust, if it happens we can only hope and see if it does.

The only Trust, has the other ever been registered? Got told they’ve looked at Balne Lane and it could be done, also the site could have just been thrown in the stadium pot to muddy the water but will support it if genuine. Sir Rodney Walker said it’s the most positive he’s been on stadium progress so it must be a goer.

| I think Walker needs to realise that his freedom of the City title that was granted to him by Box, doesn't give him the right to cheat, lie to and shaft the Wakefield public. He thinks we are all peasants living in his own little manor.

You are Peter Box and I claim my £5
As I, and others (including MC and CB) have previously stated, Balne lane fields are a total non-starter purely from an access and parking point of view. It is just another red herring thrown in by Box to try and make it look as though the council are still trying to fulfil their legal obligations
If you live local enough then go down there yourself and take a look....the only access road is along Balne Lane either from the city side through the single-file railway bridge or the other direction through Flanshaw and Peacock housing estates with the latter being the only place where people could park on match days ![CRAZY d040.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//d040.gif)

| From looking at a satellite view, isn't there a more fundamental problem? There doesn't seem to be any way to access the field for the sort of vehicles required for stadium construction. And you can bet your bottom dollar that the developer of the new housing complex, or the homeowners who have just forked out for a house overlooking fields but with close city centre links, will keep it tied up in planning for eons.
The only viable short-term solution, and we need it now, is Belle Vue.

Im a proud supporter of Wakefield Trinity and the City of Wakefield so definitely not Peter box.
I’ve not seen or heard MC or CB or the trust say Balne Lane can’t happen. As for access/parking it would be easily sorted with parking restrictions around stadium and you can’t get better access than City Centre for parking and transport links. If it doesn’t happen it won’t be because of lack of access it will be the same reason nothing has happened with the other proposals.
If we don’t get stadium sorted it’s the end of the club certainly as a SL club simple as that. Belle Vue would be the quickest solution but it’s been nearly a year since that was announced and even mannis cryptic tweets have stopped. Just hope we are looking into every avenue (providing we can get access)
