Hull KR is a good model.
They have a coach who developed his skills working with youth teams in Newcastle and creating pathways.
It remains to be seen whether Mash is the right man for the job long term, but he's the "type" of person we need, like Peters.
They are building a good young side.
And then off field they use their facilities really well. I enjoy going to HullKR. It's a nice ground with great facilities. The corporate and function room areas are excellent and they make good money away from game day, which is what we are targeting.
In the summer I really enjoyed a drink and burger after the match at the bars behind the sticks.
Of course they still have a backer that allows them to spend to be able to grow, so we'll have to build slower, but it's tgecway to go.

Surely it is obvious that he is not the right man, 13 losses on the bounce playing the worst, dullest, blandest rugby in the history of Super League kind of proves that. If the take over goes through the first port of call should be putting him back in charge of youth where he did a very good job and appointing somebody who actually knows how to coach a team.

Yes that a fair call, providing Mash would accept that. I am also sure the overall coaching set up will be high on the list of priorities once the present incumbents are out of the way.

Been on holiday, we won a game ? LOL .What makes the HKR swap deal more disgraceful, is that now Max looks as though he is back, Dagger will be dropped , or moved as a square pegs into a round hole possion .

| Maybe if Gale takes a breather, MJ will move into the halves, just to give the opposition something to think about. That would be unique this season.

| The most points in a game we scored were with Jowitt at 1 the first round. Lino and Smith have played a few together now and looks to be showing an improvement albeit gradual. I can only see it being Max at 1 and either Lino/Gale or Lino/Smith. I’m fine with those.
Dagger has done reasonably well at fullback credit to him but you go with your best in the position.

| Word on social media that Gale got injured again in training, nothing official though, so Max is obvious choice at 6 for me IF it turns out to be true

Or Smith who’s a 6 and has been playing there a number of times this year with Lino (Have been showing gradual improvement to last few games). That’s the obvious choice. The non obvious choice is Max at 6 where he has had limited training and matches in this position over the years.

| It floods now. It will flood in the future. The main thing to consider will this development make it worse or cuase other properties ti flood that currently don't. Not too hard to prove either way.

| It's never flooded, I worked at Hickson across the road until it closed. Hickson sat in between the river and the canal and was never effected but the Aire regularly floods Barnsdale Road further north. If you've visited the Jungle over the last couple of years you'll have noticed all the new houses that have been built only 50 yards from the ground and running parallel with it. If they got PP I can't see a problem with the ground.

| I think it depends on your vocabulary. I’ve never seen the river burst its banks there, but I have seen the pitch & changing rooms flooded. It appears to me, the untrained eye, that drainage of surface water is the issue rather than “flooding” from the river. Happy to be educated though.

| I feel a bit dirty saying this but we could really do with Leeds hammering Cas today. They have the kind of team out that could give Cas a sniff but it looks OK so far.

| Our former players are doing well on the scoring front. I see MC is there which I presume is to run the rule on possible signings for next season.

You are really strange when you 'presume'.
He's the CEO of a club playing at Newcastle. Why wouldn't he be there? Same as every other team's directors/staff.

I’m not sure why MC would be looking at possible next season signings, he won’t be at Trinity next season will he?

It’s called sarcasm based on the fact he was the one who decided we would be better without these players.
