Two great young centres coming the through the Academy. I assume we may go NRL for a centre also.

Croft was supposed to be a great young coming through the Academy a few years ago .Hope they are a lot better and faster

Don't think it's fair to totally write Croft off. I tend to agree with PB that he's more championship than SL but he's way better than Sundays efforts.
He has also come back from a bad injury and was partnered (I think) with easily the worst winger we have had in years.

Lineham, Gaskell and Minns on the other hand have no excuses.

Sadly next Sundays sees us playing possibly one of the most lethal combination in SL, so if Croft plays he'll need the best game of his life.

I did not go to Salford but i would have no problem if he played again. Last time I saw him play was in the reserves when tupou made his brief return to action. He looked a better player than tupou that evening and he went well. To me its his lack of pace and general sharpness that is his weak point. However he is a big strong kid with a good attitude. I am no expert but I would have thought his future may be more of a second rower.
However if Minns, Lineham and Gaskill play and we havnt anyone else better right now then the club must be in a mess

Minns is a disaster, Lineham is an unfunny joke.

Gaskell I feel sorry for, I really believe he wants to do well but no longer can, however that doesn't help us.

I can't bring myself to watch most games we lose, life is to short. But I think we all know that when a team gets destroyed on the flanks the problem is not just with the backs. Others are clearly not pulling their weight, and I know some won't like this but I think Lino is a big offender. I also suspect that Miller had one of his poorer games and this also added to the problems.

I say this because the stats suggest the forwards generally did their work in defence.

I may be wrong but I base this on games I've seen, even in the games we've won we have always looked vulnerable on the flanks.

Finally those thinking Jowitt will save the day are likely to be dissapointed. As an attacking FB and under the high ball Jowitt is first class, but his defence, especially near the line remain very weak IMHO.

SL 2 would just be the Championship rebranded, it’s 1995 all over again with the team in 11th being relegated to a lower division despite not finishing bottom.

Terrible idea and horrible for the sport in general, it’s fuelled by the greed of the top clubs who want to keep more of the reduced SKY money for themselves while casting the lower divisions adrift

To be honest I really don’t care, I am just satisfied that once again he was shown to be incorrect which he finds hard to accept. The fact he had to resort to this type of language rather than his usual insults means he may finally realise he is not all knowledgeable and it is beginning to rile him but just cannot accept it.

What you mean is that their is the Vastman way or no way. I guess you do not understand when members have a common interest and in this case it is fairness and to make sure you are held to the same standards as the rest.

I think ultimately we just need to go into every game with intent to win. No resting players and we fight for every point.

How many times over the years have we lost to teams at the bottom to then go onto winning a game against a team in the top half.

Points difference is a factor we do need to think about but you cannot pick and choose your games. We should be aiming to turn Wigan over at home and if we do we will need to worry far less about Toulouse or any points difference seperati g us from them.
