| Now that Ferguson, Obst and Millard have been sold. I'd imagine the price to purchase WTW would be reduced. Someone posted that the Crusaders were bought for a minimal amount. Could the fans possible come together and buy the club and asked to be automatically demoted to give the club a chance to rebuild

| I was wondering whether anyone could approach the administrators with a query to buying the club and in the process find out what the current state is in terms of negotiations with other parties?

I don’t think they would divulge such information.

| If Mr Glover has been unprofessional O'Hara's should address that to Glover and not wash dirty linen in public. O'Hara has shown his cards in saying that the RFL have covered THEIR fees for 28 days. I would not be surprised if the sale of the players are to cover O'Hara's costs after the 28 days are up, hence Plan B.
Far from O'Hara helping the situation he has stirred up even more of a hornet's nest.

The trust isn't officially formed yet so is not in a position to do so as yet.

bit of an over exaggeration there mate i think, the only "volunteer" i can ever remember getting any kind of agro on here was TRB, and that was for being too far up Teds ar$e he could neither see or breathe properly, not his selfless voluntary work.
I also agree with the rest.

We are going as fast as we can and we are at the last hurdle which is an application to and approval by the FSA. The application to the FSA is done through Supporters Direct and all the information they need which includes the Trust Rules which were completed in draft by us have been returned in their final form today.
Provided they are all in order the application form and our "signed" rules will be returned to SD tomorrow. They will then send the application to the FSA and the approval process takes around 2 to 3 weeks - we are in the hands of the FSA once the application is submitted.
I guess we will be a formal Supporters Trust by mid March, hopefully sooner.
Hope this helps.

Don't think anyone is saying that Mr Glover has been unprofessional, they are simply stating what the situation is.
When Widnes were in Administration the Administrator was quite often in the local media updating people as to what was happening. Fans were worried and wanted to know what the state of play was.
In this instance a company that has been appointed as the Administrator has had a 'potential' buyer make a claim that suggested everything was a done deal despite this not quite being the case. Since then there has been little in terms of forward momentum. People (the media) are clearly going to be asking what the situation is and questions may be asked about the efforts being made by the Administrator. I don't think it is unreasonable that the guy currently in charge updates everyone / sets the record straight / sends a warning shot across Mr Glovers bow / encourages other would be interested parties to come to the table.
I appreciate that as your potential new owner, you want to think the best of Mr Glover right from the off but there's no point in trying to find other's to blame for the apparent lack of action.

From that article it would appear Mr O'Hara is selling players to cover running costs and costs accrued prior to Friday. That includes Mr Parkins negotiations. What I would add however, is that Parkin was well within his rights to talk to the administrator, and never once went public at any stage of the process. Even to this day there are no comments directly attributed to him, a trait that O'Hara and Glover could learn something from. As you've said, don't wash dirty linen in public. The silence from Glover could suggest he now thinks the same.
As vexed as we are with all this, there is only one person who got us into this mess. And it isn't Glover, Parkin, O'Hara or the RFL. Although they are at fault for bringing their grievances into the public domain, creating this air of rumour and speculation, adding uncertainty to the game, and preventing a level playing field, they did not bring us to where we are today. That blame falls solely at the feet of Ted Richardson and that is who we should feel anger towards.

| As mentioned probably important to remember O'Hara has a reputation to protect. What good would selling all your assets for no reason and stringing a potential buyer along? No-one would ever go near if that was the case!
Remember also ' O'Hara's bills' are Wakefields bills! They run the club and pay the wages of all staff as it stands so re: RFL paying them that will be your only current source of income if that stops and no owners O'Hara's would only really have the option to liquidate club!

| Great to hear, I think this week is showing how important the involvement and communication with the fans is. I guess one way of raising funds after this episode is concluded is to release a book of what ACTUALLY has gone on, it may be a horror read, but it should sell loads!

| If there is a plan b and the rfl are funding the admins for 28 days it would suggest a deal to takeover is not close and dare I say it that plan b is liquidation if nothing happens in this timescale.

The players are being sold to pay O'Hara's, the players, coaches and other employees at WTW and the creditors. The 28 day thing has no real relevance other that the RFL will support us for that period at least if required to do so

O'Hara's costs are ongoing. If O'Hara gets an offer on players and his costs are not covered then he will sell. O'Hara states that Mr Glover has not told him who he wants to keep. Surely a price was agreed on a player's roster. Once a player is sold from that roster then all bets are off. If the RFL have employed O'Haras then they must surely be instructing O'Hara and therefore take responsibility for sanctioning the decimation of the team and potential breakdown of any deal with Mr Glover.
O'Hara's have not come out of this article with any credit.

It might be in order to encourage Mr Glover to come to the table again or it could be to encourage interest from other parties. Who knows
At the moment Mr Glover seems to be the only party in the running and could be using this position to agree terms favourable to him. (and who could blame him) It's all conjecture.
I am 100% confident that a team, as well supported as Trin is, will exist beyond this episode! Liquidation will not happen. There will eventually be a price that someone is prepared to pay for the club. Of that you can be sure.

| The talk about washing dirty in public etc etc... The article states Mr Glover did not attend an arranged meeting with the administrators? So what do you want them to do? Maybe they can't contact him? They need to let potential buyers know the deal may be off in case it does collapse and your back to stage 1 again!

And, ahead of Wednesday's deadline, a Wakefield club statement read: "We have not been able to secure the funds necessary to pay the amounts due to HMRC.
"We have no choice but to seek the appointment of an administrator."
