Tronc i would compare to Andy Coley at the top of his form, (which he has done maybe twice in the last few years), he may not be the game breaker, but he will run all day and cause defences all sorts of trouble due to his size and style which is simillar to Coley.

He is a non spectacular style player and may not be a crowd favorite but he will be one of the signings of the year i think and if he maintains his current form would easily get in any side in the SL.

he is more consistent than Andy Coley although I understand the comparison. For me he is more like a huge version of John Glancy.

Seen him on that website posted on here, i agree looked a big lad. Hope the rumours are true.

He is far better than Coley, but he has a simillar style, ie he seems to jog into the tackle and never seems really to be busting a gutt, this is due to the deceptive mechanics of the guy, ie tall with long limbs.

Regardless of this apparent lack of effort, which is very deceptive in truth as the stats show he works his nuts off, the lad will be a great buy.

Most including myself are concerned we did not, or it seems if we have have missed out on him. IFL would have had a good look at him when he was out in Australia scouting his team mate Carl Webb out.

I have a suspicion Wigan were never in for him though, although that may have changed since the news of Hock has broken but maybe we were too late.

I personally think Wigan have made there signings and not announced them until a coach is sorted for 2010. Wigan should have a large slice of the cap to for the next couple of years and i would be surprised if clubs could outbid them at the moment for players they really want.

Our targets seem to be players from the NRL who are currently under contract, we cannot at the moment on if it was a wise move or not to miss out on Tronc until it is confirmed he has signed for you and also Wigans signings are announced, which i am sure will follow the confirmation of a coach for 2010. The coaching position must be a priority at the moment though either Noble goes or he stays, or a new coach comes in, either way nothing will be announced until that is sorted.

Although from what i hear I am 99% certain he has signed for you, the 1% nagging doubt i have is that gagging clause, given the way Wigans fingers have been burned recently it seems like a tactic they may employ, long shot though i know.

If Griffin comes in even prior to Hock getting banned he will still hopefully have been only 1 of 2 Prop signings for 2010, the other will most likely come from the NRL.

We have 2 in the squad in Prescott and O'Carroll, but you need experience upfront, throwing kids in upfront is not the answer and would more damaging to there career long term. Sadly i do not think any club can nurture 2 young Props and strive to be a success let alone 3, add to this Mossop will be in competition for a secondrow spot with Farrell, Tomkins, Hansen experience and maturity is required.
