| I know I'm a bit of a cynic but this bit made me chuckle...
Quote A detailed planning application for the site is expected to be submitted to Wakefield Council by August 2011.
'"
In other words, "we'll keep putting a positive spin on it until the licences are announced but won't apply for Planning as it will surely get knocked back (at least initially) and everyone will see how far away from building a stadium we actually are."
There is surely a job in government for him when the Cas fans finally wake up and ship him out of Cas.

A definate stadium solution is now in place and will be announced.
Next year, SL will be 15 teams, which will unclude us, and may become 16 teams should halifax be granted a place.
then a Q&A will follow

That would be greeeeaaaat!
Hope you are right.
Sadly having attended these most important announcement evenings since the day of Rodney Walker and Stuart Farrar they are usually accompanied by a begging bowl. Now I'm not averse to handing over what I can, but it would make a plaesent change if it were just a straight this is what WILL happen announcement.

| Quote ="The Clan"Richard Wright says whatever he thinks will score him brownie points with whoever might be listening. When you break down his statements they are full of grandiose claims and unsubstantiated waffle.
His track record on delivery on promises is so poor that outside of Castleford and the SKY studios he has zero credibility and even some of the Cas fans are becoming sceptical.
The guy seems to have no shame and just lurches from one let down to the next without ever offering an explanation or apology almost as if his past statements never happened.
In his latest Jakanory tale the Tigers will be starting their 2013 season in the new stadium at Glasshoughton. That would require them to go from where they are now with no money and reliant upon a 3 Rd party to secure planning permission to completing the new stadium and all it's service Rds and car parks etc in just 20 months!'"
You have to admire his bottle. I can only assume he doesn't live in Cas because when the penny eventually drops they will tar and feather him. It will make Teds departure look dignified by comparison

| He is the expert in making an annoucement that doesn't really say anything that wasn't already known. FWIW there is no chance that this PP will go through unchallenged in august and to say the whole development is now worth 150 million is laughable! Maybe AG's meeting on the 8th june has got him worried.

It won't because IMO they need to build a second access road to the GH site to take the traffic. No one wants to or can afford to build it I suspect.

I think they may be aware it won't be plain sailing. They have set up a petition and are targeting 15,000 signatures. As I have said on the Cas forum I am suprised at this move as a number of their fans seemed to think this was going to be relatively straightforward with little or no objectors and the council fully on side. That been the case the need for a petition seems strange.
The way it has unfolded at their end bears some striking resemblances to our own position - yet the Cas fans don't appear to be able to see the fact that Dicky Wright has still not delivered anything that he promised.
Leaving the ground on Saturday there were a few of their fans in their early 20's who took great pleasure in telling me that we were going to the Championship and Richard Wright would be getting a cheque for 50m!!

Nah.
He blagged us in for the last franchise with very little "smoke and mirrors" in what was deemed by the RFL as an impressive application.
This time, whether the promises are fulfilled or not, it's starting to look like a far more polished/impressive bid.
Top 6 side - Challenge Cup Quarter Finalists - some of the hottest young prospects in the sport all in the first grade frame - a dream site approved for a new stadium - a possible significant income from sale of current ground
Most Wakey fans would hate to admit it, but EVERYONE else interested in the sport knows our franchise is light years ahead of yours.
I'm amazed how many Wakey fans have forgotten that bids have now been submitted and nothing that transpires at this meeting will have any impact on the final decision.

Unless it was already in the application, but has been kept back to have maximum impact and to allow Dicky to believe he could safely admit you didn't have the funds that he had previously and consistently indicated were in place. (Very unlike Wakey to be so forward thinking but not entirely beyond the realms of possibility)

Well all of what you have posted is just opinion, and a plain daft one IMO.
However we are all entitled to an opinion. The hottest prospects in the game I'm assuming was a joke.
It's the last bit I don't get. What makes you think that whatever the announcement is, isn't already in the bid - how can you know this? Then again you claim to know whats in the Cas bid when you don't and you claim to know what everybody in the sport thinks so maybe I shouldn't give your OPINIONS to much credibility.

There must be a lot of building work going on for £150,000,000, assuming those figures are correct then will all that get called in for a PI?

So according to you final paragraph the fact you are in the CC quarter finals cant impact the decision cos you werent in them when the franchise application was submitted in April?
Plus the dream site for a stadium appears to be one that nobody has woken up to yet, given its the same stadium you were dreaming about last time applications were submitted.

Yeah!
You won't be top 6 when it matters
Qtr finals is no great achievement and I fear you might get humiliated against Huddersfield
Many clubs have top young talent in the team, Cas are nothing special here.
Dream site?
Planning permission is worth nothing without the money so Cas can't build jack!
You'll be lucky to get enough for two stands and you still hav to pay all the five people who have charges on Wheldon Rd
Dickys house of cards is collapsing and people will soon see the truth.

Too right. IF you have included a cast-iron stadium build in your franchise application and have been waiting until now to reveal the details then the tide will have totally turned and you'll suddenly be in a much stronger position. However, don't expect the RFL to look at your and the Crusaders respective administrations on equal terms (as they of course should do).
Not joking at all about our young players. Milner was the academy international captain and has made the Knights a year on; Clark is truly exceptional; Arundel is playing far better than Shenton had been for the last two seasons; Walker is widely tipped as a future international star; Eden already looks SL ready; Holmes/Thomson et al all could go a long way also.

No. Not at all. Never really beleive a word he says.
But: he came up with the goods last time, and I'm more than confident that his proposals/spin/fabrications will do the trick again.
However, next time the licences come round (after this year's) he will definitely have to have everything in place otherwise we'll be laughed out of the competition.
As vasty rightly puts it - this is just an opinion - all will soon become much clearer and we'll see whose was the more insightful.

| Good old Tricky - he's like Cas's answer to the Iraqi Minister of Information.
That release is clearly an amalgamation of all the other bullshine he's put out in the last few weeks, rehashed with a bit of spice added, in an attempt to counter the buzz about the upcoming WTW meeting.
The way he's now totting up all the pie in the sky inward investment that his fantasy project *could* trigger is actually bordering on the naughty - the £150 million figure would not bear any level of scrutiny and if he's not careful, the spin machine he's unleashed could turn on its creator, with unpleasant consequences.

| It's bunkum like this that Cas fans seem happy to turn a blind eye to:
[urlhttp://www.ayberspace.co.uk/ayberspace/php-files/viewpage.php?page_id=147[/url
Quite the timeline to achieve nothing.
[urlhttp://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/latest-news/castleford_tigers_receive_planning_permission_for_new_stadium_1_2122926[/url
Quote Tricky Dicky: "We can now progress with confidence because whilst awaiting this news we have been moving ahead in tandem on the finances and again are confident of everything being in place. As a result we expect work to start soon with the aim of moving into the new stadium by 2010 at the latest, although we haven't as yet ruled out 2009."'"
How did that work out for you Dicky? Or am I back in 2007 when you started feeding everyone this pony?...

What Tricky has done is simply take the NM scheme and rebrand it as GH. Clever in a short sighted way but not sustainable obviously.
I know most people claim not to watch Coronation Street (though the viewing figures say otherwise) - but there is a character in that called John Stape - he is a pathalogical liar who thinks he can lie his way in and out of any situation - he can't. He has currently murdered at least two people and has three held captive - but his luck is running out. Far fetched?....what's the betting that the CEO of GH development company is buried under the supposed new pitch and Richard Lewis and his fat accountant Woodsy are banged up in his cellar, far fetched?...certainly not as far fetched as the story line on Coronation Street

You're right, but that's the spin and he's getting away with it. I can't believe no one is challenging him. If the local press were npt so limp a young jurno could really make a name for themselves.
First question from jorno - please offer proof to back up anything you have ever said
