Brians only been here two weeks and the team look a lot fitter, and put up a good performance tonight.
If we can keep improving each week we will be ok in the 8s

Thought he was one of the better players today... Was at the centre if most things we did in attack... Good positioning to mop up a couple of tricky situations.... His one on one defence is not good enough for full back.
Thought Johnstone was awful today! Probably the worst player on the pitch... Don't rate Anakin but thought he did ok today. Need more from the halves creatively... And yes it's 4.02 am in aus and I stayed up to watch the game!

Massive improvement from the team today can walk away from that one with heads held high.
I can only shake my head at some of the dire bilge of negativity of some of our so called fans on here.

Game change was Mcshane's dumb rugby on the 4th tackle went down hill fast from there. 70 min good rugby by Wakey then 10 min not so good.

Totally agree Cheshirecat……..that performance was much much better than we have seen for a long while. With the players we had out and the heat I am pleased with our progress. Also think people need to lay off J. Miller and actually watch the games .

Take the first ten and the last ten minutes out of it and it wasn't too bad. A definate improvement in effort and enthusiasm and we didn't deserve the score blowing out in the end. Godinets try in the 1st half should have stood athough i didn't think the one they had disallowed was forward either so it kind of cancelled it out. A step forward although there is still a long way to go.

Poor play by Mcshane for their 3rd try. Went a bit downhill after that but improvement there to see. Better than I thought we'd be today.

Couldn't fault the effort or the desire today.
First ten minutes we weren't at the races. Middle sixty we were the best side, last ten we were very unlucky and our tank was empty.

I the kids have gone to bed now the adults have come out to play.

Much much better but T. Smith still very in effective. We had plenty of possession on their line but created nothing from half back. Looking forward to the Hull game , lets hope we see even more improvement.

Based on today’s performance, if we can improve week on week it’ll make the middle eight very interesting.

There could be a couple of teams coming into the middle eight feeling pretty low after just missing out on the top eight & could be vulnerable, us on the other hand are building towards the final bunfight.

Sure there were some silly decisions from numerous players but the structures looked much improved & the fitness didn’t seem too shoddy.

It was actually disappointing we didn't go onto win a very winnable game, so that must be progress. We stayed in the arm wrestle for a large part of the game, and at times we actually resembled a hard working team. Obviously still lots to improve on, but a very gutsy effort in hard conditions. I thought Miller did ok, at least the lad has heart, which is more than Craig Hall has in that position. Tim Smith for me is the main weak link attacking wise, at times I just don't know what planet he is on, but unless we sign someone else, I don't see any alternatives. Also Riley has come in for a lot of stick but I thought he played quite well, a real gutsy effort so good on em.....

Hope we can all chip in if MC faces the wrath of the RL for his brilliant comments online today.


Great to see the support he has had from RL fans across the league.
Lost count of the number of other RL teams fans i have seen on social media that hated us with a passion under previous regimes that now have a great rapport and respect for our chairman.

A good all round team effort I thought and yes some you could some pick as less effective but they played for each other and the speed around the ruck coupled with the enthusiasm today gives me a feeling of optimism which I didn't have 3 weeks ago
Well done to all... Onwards and upwards.

Credit where it is due we did look much better but our need for a specialist and if possible fast centre or centres was an obvious weakness. Miller can run the ball out but sadly cannot tackle which for a full back this is a bit limiting.
Riley looked weak and our lack of pace is a problem. We also need more forward strength but not a hooker which we currently have covered.

Ahh but two hookers are better than one in the present climate and Brian will know that.

Lynne and tim Smith are bloodly garbage

Amazing improvement in such a short time. I thought when Bosc went off it might swing Wakey's way but then the penalty that gave them 2 points looked harsh. Not sure about the fitness but they looked miles more confident. Was impressed by how they showed a bit of patience and built pressure until that is Mcshane took the wrong option.

Did anyone notice the HT hooter went at 38mins 50secs ?

And FT at 79mins 42secs.

Molloy and Kavanagh played really well when they don't normally get praise.
Godinet was good. Don't understand those having a go at Miller I thought he was very good. Certainly one of the better players.
Arundel weak in centre but tried hard.
Smith tackled more than usual too.

Very good all round effort. Smith and players making great strides forward. I look forward to the win that is coming.
