no our game as fallen foul to the weather aswell with a waterlogged pitch,shame really the boys are looking very good in training and looked to have kicked on a bit.

Straight passed headingley cross roads, follow main road under railway bridge and turn right at pub (can't remember name) just before traffic lights, they have pitches all over.

same here for us, we should of been playing east leeds but I think this one was called off for lack of players not the weather as there was concern before tonights training session that they was suffering squad numbers.
even our training was inside tonight video and talking

whinmoor v crigg u 10's still on .. although it's now at crigg and supposed to ko at 10.30 - but now the u 12's are at home so they may play 1st and so we might be playing at 11.30 because the u12's normal pitch is under water and for some reason they take preferance ! Oh aye , neither can play on the main pitch of course because 9-10year olds will knack it up for the open age game in the afternoon !!

Which would be helped by A FEW WEEKS WORTH of fixtures been made available to everyone so rota's for kitchen, kit cleaning etc . would make everyones life a little easier .

its only kids but lets be honest there is a weaker link left in group 1 who will again end up on the wrong end of some large scorelines. its quite bizarre

Normanton Knights v Castleford Panthers. Open Age.

Saturday 06/03/10 2.30pm ko at the Graveyard.

This is a big game for both teams, Cas Panthers are 3rd in the NCL div 1 and are pushing really hard for promotion, Normy are 6 points behind them but have 3 games in hand on the Panthers, so the Knights will be looking at this as a 4 pointer for them.

Normanton took the spoils at Raglan Close earlier in the season with a closely fought 10-6 win, so the Panthers will be looking for revenge. A big crowd is expected for this clash so come early.

Pre and Post match refreshments can be found in the Working Mans Club next door.

Glad to see you back in Group 1, from what I saw at Belle Vue you deserve to be there. Cas Panthers away is about as tough a start as you can get, they are arguably the best team in the group (

). Dewsbury/Drig can count themselves very lucky.

my thoughts entirely , don't know what shaw cross have done to upset the powers that be but imho shaw cross seemed to have a stronger set up than celtic/drigg and as for Heworth they must of really upset someone ....oh hang on a minute

great to have some fixtures up and something for the kids to get their teeth into,looking forward to the visit from crigglestone,both teams will be going into the unknown regards what we are up against.

cannot for the life of me understand how or why shaw cross have dropped out of the group,dewsbury celtic are very fortunate and tbh its not fair on their players to have a up hill struggle all year..


for spongebob just curious how many kids you have in your squad,we have 17 players and will be trying to play 13 a side games rather than having kids stood on the sidelines in the cold providing teams have enough players to do so.

May well disapoint you here but we're struggling a bit it seems at the minute . We have got about 15 signed on but with a couple having left never to be seen again and one of the youngest lads cutting his knee whilst playing with his mates we're down to about 12 max. Hopefully he'll make a fast recovery because i'd like to see 13 a side myself .
After the hard work they've all put in last year to get moved up i'd hate it for the lads to be getting hammered now simply because of lack of numbers .Hope we can recrute some more and quick , with holidays just round the corner , someones going to be missing every week and we don't want to be playing one or two players short .

no problem we are happy to go with what you have got,will give you a ring a bit nearer the time when i know what pitch and time we are playing,doubt you will get hammmered given what ive been told by anybody.

i think the biggest difference you will find is the intensity with most teams having 8-9 good players in their team there are very few weaknesses to exploit.

Stanley Rangers u12s travel to Shaw Cross today in the league looking to keep up the winning momentum
