) ever and is now panicking about the upcoming final. saddle again another "Major" player suffered a break on saturday . One of the nicest and best players Ive ever seen at this age .

Criggs policy of giving all players a fair and decent chance is paying dividends now as strength in depth will show , but of course some holes are hard to fill.

I've been very reluctant to reply but here goes.

Yes the panthers dominated from start to finish has they did against shaw cross in the cup.very pleasing indeed to see the boys get the rewards for the hard work they put in and the rugby they play.however the hard work continues and we will keep our feet well and truly planted has we are in it for the long haul.

Hope the injured lad at crigg makes a speedy recovery,god knows we have had more than our share of bad injuries in the last 12 months.

you have had it rough this term

Panthers u12s played pluton Viking in a fixture that was reversed from oulton to cas.

The game finished 38-18 to the panthers,a lot of credit to oulton who never threw in the towel despite been 32-0 before crossing for there first try.some really skilful rugby on show in awful driving rain and a bitter wind.

Sandal Spartans U13's played Fev Lions this morning and ran in a comfortable 50-4 victory.

Fev never stopped trying, but they just couldn't live with the Spartans.

Thanks again to the panthers for getting the game on. Great to see a strong set of lads 'playing rugby' in the right way, credit to you best all round team at this age group for me. Pleased with the spirit shown by our boys showing up well in patches and to win the second half. it's physically proving to be a huge step up but the lads know where to improve and to keep positive. Once again thanks for the welcome from Cas.

anyone going to the Scarboro festival, 9th june

are kids are a little too old now to get any benefit from it but if you go you will have a great time,we went 3 years running and loved it everytime although the accomadation is a rip off for what you pay but its a great bonding experiance for the both parents and kids.

looks like the the venue is to be changed for all the Wakey cup finals this weekend and I'm not surprised, it was to be held at Belle Vue but with all the rain we have had preference has to go to the club whether to hold the games

cas academy yr7 boys are now within touching distance of wembley after beating yorkshire schools champinons honley 38-18 in the quarter final of the national cup.

the cas side produced a stunning team performance to beat a side who they lost 36-6 to only 8 weeks ago in the yorks semis,although they were missing 2-3 players that day they have also knocked out the lancs cup winners so they are having to do it the hard way.

Congratulations to crigg and a big well done to east moor who kept going and by the sounds of it gave it there best effort.



Looking forward to the next couple of weeks which without doubt will see some of our boys playing the biggest game of there young lives.

Continuation Cup semi-final this Saturday - Sandal Spartans v Oulton Raiders, 10:30 ko at West Yorkshire Sports and Social; our tuck shop will be in full effect, so there'll be an endless supply of bacon/sausage sarnies, hot drinks and home made muffins.

thanks for that big lad , once upon a time i might of got sucked into that but this is a long running thread that does the amature game in this area lots of good .
its also very area friendly cars , leeds , bradford , huddersfield etc. who cares
its mature and junior the core of the game and unlike "soccer" in these local finals i would guess you are witnessing 1 , 2 or maybe 3 players that will take it further at least . it may not be international or super league but it may be a living for some.
Including may i say the Officials .

This thread is the main reason i come on here now , the politics are to frustrating on the other issues . My two sons are the most honest players i know . i prefer to watch them anyday.

Its just annoying when this thread does descend into chaos , i had a great time on saturday a match that the score line probably did Eastmoor little favours as the kids put more heart into that . and the match was played in good spirit with around 99% of penalties in my recollection being for technical offences with the pace of the game that was going to happen in the 2nd half.

Sandal Spartans ran out 40-16 winners against Oulton Raiders this morning, in the QF of the Continuation Cup.

Very much a game of two halves though, with Sandal playing a scrappy second half and giving away too many penalties. Two Sandal players ended up in the bin, although one of those was an absolutely mystifying decision - the young ref appeared to bow to pressure from the sideline.

Methley Warriors up next in the semi-final - the final is to be played at the Big Fella's stadium.
