Maybe it is something that will take more than a few moments on the pitch at half time to explain. Also I would imagine that they will hold a QnA session like at the audience with nights after the announcement has been made.

So back on topic. Was there any hint of what's going to be announced at the biggest most important meeting on our great clubs history.

Maybe they need Ceder Courts better presentation facilities for this announcement as theres plans to be shown..

Speculation

1. Investment as previously discussed on here plus development of another site (Silkwood or Dewsbury)

2. Plan to develop BV until NM is ready with additional investment and bringing our home up to scratch and also to be utilised by football?

3. Mover to GH (Noway hopefully!!!!)

4. As 2 with investment to full cap thereby giving RFL headache of throwing us out with 7k crowds making it tough for the RFL.

All speculation on my part.

The wording of the announcement (in the smallish print) is

"In this meeting, possibly the most important in the clubs history, we will be revealing some amazing plans for our future."

"Possibly" a Carlsberg moment?

In any event, we can't be worse off than were a few months ago.

At the Supporters' Trust meeting, I believe, everyone kept stumm.

I noticed that JE said that there would still be 14 in the league, then went on to say UNLESS there is a change in the television budget. Now I would LIKE to think that the decision has been made, seeped out to clubs and that a caveat has been given to clubs not to spill the beans until the RFL's timing. But I don't see the point in the RFL doing that as I can't see the benefit it has to the RFL, let alone the clubs involved.

A very stupid Idea and one people on here were told was a non starter, yet built it up to be something it was not.

Why does the statement mention 'community stadium' I was under the impresion that ours was the community stadium.

You are correct, Newmarket is a community stadium whereas GH is a private build for Cas only.

Richard Wright says whatever he thinks will score him brownie points with whoever might be listening. When you break down his statements they are full of grandiose claims and unsubstantiated waffle.

His track record on delivery on promises is so poor that outside of Castleford and the SKY studios he has zero credibility and even some of the Cas fans are becoming sceptical.

The guy seems to have no shame and just lurches from one let down to the next without ever offering an explanation or apology almost as if his past statements never happened.

In his latest Jakanory tale the Tigers will be starting their 2013 season in the new stadium at Glasshoughton. That would require them to go from where they are now with no money and reliant upon a 3 Rd party to secure planning permission to completing the new stadium and all it's service Rds and car parks etc in just 20 months!
