Listening to his interview I think he'll be good for Cas.

He will certainly be able to guide cas in the right direction regarding the planning application process and the construction thereafter.
It looks like the money he puts in over the next couple of years will be to do the stands up to help gain an A grade.
I’m guessing that cas will get an application approval sometime in the new year probably with a revamped stadium drawing that the EA are happy with…
However they can’t make a start on the stadium for at least another year because they will need the IMG points from the main stand to push them towards 15points when the scores are totted up again In October.

Going to be interesting to see what happens next year when these scores are added up..
It would Appear to be a four horse race between ourselves cas Toulouse and Leigh. Could it be that all the above clubs end up with 15 points this time next year.?

Leigh will be increasing fandom and performance points the others won't, so the other point areas are going to be the differentiator for the other 3.

It is just a joke, we have been lucky the last board worked hard to get us a ground fit for S L .And Cas are still on a level playing field ,Salford are just about bankrupt, London are going part time in S L The game is going down hill fast

My reasoning for the scores being tottered up in October 2024 is that the regular season will have finished in SL and the championship and if hopefully we have won the competition these points will be added to our score…. Same SL

Initially they said July but revised it to October totake into consideration challenge cup and grand final results

Were recruiting now for 2025. Naturally they will be conditional contracts but we shouldn't be starting behind everyone else.

It's come to something when all the fans are worried about are clicks on social media.
The whole criteria thing needs simplifying so that its clear well before the end of the season who could be promoted or relegated.
Although it's still bedding in, the IMG system has nothing to do with the sport of RL or, come to that, sport of any kind.

It's not about being promoted or relegated though. It's about hitting a minimum standard of grade A for guaranteed top flight rugby. We can only look to ourselves and find a way to get to 15 points. Whatever any other club does is not relevant as all those with 15 points will be in the top flight. If it's 17 clubs, so be it. It's then up to IMG to manage that situation but, if so, there will be many more well managed, sustainable clubs than we have at present.

Why would you want to know before the end of the season? Surely that makes the games at the end pointless anyway.

You are misunderstanding the clicks too. The thresholds are massively different. To get to the next one is a significant change, not just a few videos being posted.

Whatever we think of IMG it is clear they follow the guidelines they set showing no obvious favouritism.

Like everyone else I don’t like the situation, it goes against everything I believe about sporting competition

We’ve had hundreds of millions from SKY over the last 30 years and squandered 99% of it
The money has gone to overseas players, player agents etc with little to none being used to consolidate a clubs core business or invest in the future.
Clubs chase glory for one or two season, relying on TV money or the good will & small wallet of the current owner. Once that’s gone it’s back to being busted again
Rinse & repeat

Without radical change the game would almost entirely be part time with a number of clubs going to the wall
The IMG system is a bitter pill but Rugby League has brought itself to this point
IMG are forcing clubs to improve across the board to hopefully become so self sufficient that TV contracts are no longer their life blood with the loss of it being disastrous for a club or Armageddon for the game. A position which gives the TV companies (SKY) the whip hand in negotiations forcing us to undersell the TV rights.

In the long term, if the clubs respond as they should we could end up with 14 or more ‘A’ rated clubs who all have superb Sponsorships, Hospitality, Advertising and Merchandising revenues. Clubs playing out of modern stadia that looks good on TV, has state of the art media facilities thus attracting more journalists creating more coverage.
We need to create a rewarding upward spiral rather than the vicious downward spiral we’re currently locked into!

Maybe in time when we’ve got strong clubs with robust business practices and modern infrastructures we can return to a competition where League Tables dictate who gets promoted or relegated but for now & the foreseeable IMGs point system is a necessary evil.

Will not change until clubs have to stick to the salary cap ,to run a club and show a profit, Done in Australia Clubs are self sufficient Some club's have casinos ,to keep there heads above water but it seems to work

Cheers FT, sounds good but do clubs get graded on hits/subscriptions or % increases ??
If it's the latter then I would hope that our % increases will be going through the roof in the next 12 months, especially if we can get some success on the field

It's purely on impressions or 'hits'. So that's likes shares and comments.
That is a new figure each year.
But also followers and subscribers which you are more likely to keep each year.

Looks good and I think we could eventually do a similar article to encourage growth but posting % increases mean nothing to IMG if you were very low in the first place.

Yep a 99% increase on 100 hits takes you to 199 hits, bit of smoke and mirrors going on with Hudds here trying to make out they are smashing new heights supporter engagement
