| managed to get away from work just in time, got there before kick off so enjoyed the full match,
Crigg All Blacks u12s put some real effort in to their defense keeping Stanley Rangers to just the 6 points by half time playing down the hill, the second half was nearly all Stanley and we continued to show that we are getting things right, the final score was 21 - 0,
next week we entertain the Normanton Knights at home in the league 11-30 kick off

| u10s friendly fixtures have been put out for the 27th feb.
Games for Saturday 27th February 10.30am
Castleford Panthers v Castleford Lock Lane
Dewsbury Celtic v Drighlington
Shaw Cross v Stanley Rangers
Eastmoor v Stanningley
Heworth v Townville Tigers
Garforth Tigers v Oulton Raiders
Whinmoor v Crigglestone
Wibsey v Hunslet Parkside
Oulton Vikings v Stanningley B
Featherstone Lions v East Leeds
New Earswick v Hunslet Warriors
Selby Warriors v Dewsbury Moor
Rodley Rockets v Dudley Hill
Fryston v Normanton Knights
Batley Boys v Churwell Chiefs
Wetherby Bulldogs v York Acorn
looking at the fixtures they are just a repeat from week 1 back in september,i think they are missing a chance to compare the teams that are caught between two divisions here unless they have no intention of changing the groups which would be criminal on teams like crigglestone and heworth.

shocked to see Crigg are not in group 1, They played before the wakey catalans game and make Shaw Cross look ordinary they also easily disposed of oulton as did we. unfortunately we did not play crigg would of been nice though as the other 2 teams were out of their comfort zone IMHO .
maybe they might change their minds back .
I hear a rumour that the fixture Secretary is from Dewsbury Celtic

| This is absolutley ridiculous. What is the point of saying that the 'league fixtures' don't start until 13/14th of March and then announcing 'Friendly' fixtures for a week on Satuday??? We only play 'Friendly Fixtures' anyway at under 10's, we're not in a league so why not just say that the 'Fixtures' are starting on 27th of Feb???? And yes Rob, I agree about Crigg/Heworth.
This just seems silly. I even texted Mr Fleming a week ago to ask about playing prior to 13/14th March and as usual got no reply. Was counting on having two/three more Saturday morning training sessions before we recomenced 'Fixtures'.
That said, the boys will be chuffed to get back at it.

pleased to get back to the rugby but i dont see what good it is teams playing teams from their own group when the chances are they will probably meet 4-5 times over the year.
we "cas panthers" had arranged a friendly game with keighley albion for this saturday for the very reason i saw no point in playing a team from our group and it would have also given us a idea of where where at compared to other leagues.this was knocked back by the powers that be because u10s dont play friendlies

| well what a match that was, Stanley Rangers U12s are slowly catching the league leaders up, Normanton Knights U12s was defensively up for this game putting pressure on our lads right from the start and a battle royale it was,
they took the lead late in the first half but missed the conversation going in at h/t 0-4, the second half we managed to pick up the pace and with a special effort drove under the post to make our conversion easier to take, the game flowed both ways but no further scores was made 6-4 to us.
I was talking to one of their parents that said £1000 had been collected at the Wakey v Leeds game and hope they can reach further towards their funds for the club house, he was from Barnsley and his son had a season ticket for Wakefield, he has come to the Catalan and Leeds games and is now a converted rugby fan now and follow trin, so it is working through the kids.
not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but Normanton Knights have lost a lot of memorabilia and needs to replace this, so if anyone can help them out contact their club

TBH i heard about 2-3 weeks ago that the Dews celtic v Drigg game was to be arranged to decide which team would be relegated . I didn't want to post that as it was just a bit of gossip(although from a good source ) - but what the hell , it's like the whole things being run by Billy Smarts circus anyway !
As far as i know (and obviously this isn't official yet ) , Crigg are definitely up. What's hapening with such as Heworth i don't know ... but to me they deserve to be moved up .
Completely agree with everyone about these friendly fixtures - what's the point of playing the same games again ? Why not just let everyone just arrange a game as it suits them ?
Hope it's right what we've heard and we're definitely up - will look forward to some local games again , which always mean that little bit more to the lads - the futures bright for Wakey imo .
Oh aye , thanks Ady Fleming for the trip to Whinmoor ....that'll be nice !

A big thanks to all who contributed it is very much needed, just to keep you all informed the loss adjusters/ assesors have been and taken everything out of the bar area and will probably write everything off.
Its all in the hands of the insurance company now as to when things happen, they are putting their own people in to do the repairs, can't give you a time scale as yet to when we will be up and running 100%, but it could be as little as 4 to 6 weeks.
Thanks again all for digging deep.

From memory, its straight out of Leeds on the Kirkstall road and a right turn just before you get to the traffic lights for Morrisons.
