| As long as we're getting a quality player in exchange I don't have a problem with this.
Those in charge of recruitment haven't done bad so far!

He’s a prospect/project signing just like Booth so he may well do.
There is no exact science to player development.
I will say this with 100% confidence, whilst Booth has more utility value (which we have covered with Rouke and Russell anyway) of the 2 if they both achieve their potential Tchamambe will be the superior specialist winger of the 2.

| KR Fan here
NT has all the physical attributes to be a top quality player, I’m not convinced he has the mentality. He looks to be scared of contact and collision, which isn’t ideal. Breakaway tries he will always get, but hard yards and defending I’m yet to be convinced he has the heart. All well and good been the stand out at academy level when you are physically superior, but that soon changes.
Peters likes versatility in players, broadbent over Corey hall for example. So can see by your comments why it may work for both parties. Hope they both go on and do well

Sorry to see Booth go if this happens but Rourke probably nudged him down the list a bit.
NT is very well regarded though so not a bad deal.[/quote:k3yydbi0]
I don't think this is a good deal. Noah is a future international IMO. He already carries himself on the field like an experienced pro and has bags of potential.
I think we have made a mistake with this one but then again what do I know.

You seem to think it was the clubs decision, reading between the lines HKR were keen on Booth and could sign him for next season. He's at Hunslet anyway do the club looked at a way to get something in return and it seems like we've got a promising winger as a swap. Both players are potential only right now.
The last swap between the two clubs worked out well in the end despite the uproar it provoked

| Hull KRs strategy on projects / youth at the minute seems to be throw enough mud at the wall and see what sticks, which not many seem to be sticking at all. If I was a young player from a development / career perspective this would be in the back of my mind.

| Why is every young player that leaves us labelled a “future International” after a handful of games in which they are unable to nail down a first team spot.
Way I see it his utility place in the squad has been taken by Rourke for 2025 and we are adding some depth in the squad in a position we are a bit thin.
Rourke is a proven top level player in SL and of the 2 he’s the better option for Trinity going forward.

| We have 4 players who are very good centres and two who can play fullback well for a few years so not sure where he is in pecking order so would go as you can't keep them all.

[quote="PopTart":13bi5017]I like this side of our recruitment plan.
Let's see who is out there and give them a chance when they are young enough to develop

Memories jerker of another James Evans who played a leading role in those 4 from 6 games back in 2006.

That brings back memories of the million pound game, sure it was Evans who scored when Beetham kicked the ball off the floor and it landed in his hands.

Agree ,takes a big step up from playing in the championship to playing international rugby .Even the great D Topliss who was playing in the Wakefield first team at 18 played international rugby about twice .And N Wright also playing at 18 in the first team never got near international rugby and he was a match winner

Nigel played for England U21s and has a full England Cap against France.
But agree with your point.

| If Booth is a future international does that make Pratt a future golden boot winner?
It’s just paper talk. If he’d have signed for Cas/Hudds etc barely an eyelid would have been batted.

Hostplus cup hooker of year 2022 season. Looks to have a good amount of NRL appearances last 2 seasons. Looks like he can field kick and is a pretty good passer of the ball. That’s from a quick search.

If this turns out to be true it would be a real sign of intent signing a player in a position we need to improve.
Whilst he played last year for Brisbane the reality is he’s well down the pecking order there under Maguire as it’s a position they have identified they need to improve and with Ben Hunt, Walters and a young prodigy coming through in Blake Mozer he will be lucky to get game time so not shocked he’s on the outer.
Having said all of the above he’d be a very good pick up for us and his style probably better suited to SL than the NRL, he’s very much in the Matt Parcell mould.
Interesting to see who he would replace on the quota though.
Again if it turns out to be correct it’s great we are getting our business done early for 2026, I think the lack of stability has left us in the past behind most other clubs in this respect.

Who are the 3?
Walmsley Faatili and Atoni?
Could be any of those 3 to be fair.

| Walmsley is possibly one most at risk I feel. Seem strange Faatili who Warrington were after signed of one year so possibly he's just here for the year. A quality hooker for any of them is fair enough. Like I have said the strongest squad will be next year and year after once Mills and Powell get the squad they are after.

Exactly. None of those contract lengths are an accident are they. They're the three that aren't guaranteed to fire in Super League. British props are a bit harder to come by at the moment though.
