| I’d be very disappointed if we lost by the same sort of scores as we did against Catalans and Warrington, yes!
Those were two good sides though, in form, most of their top players playing, while we’ve had a fair amount of disruption, things against us etc...
Think the extra week off will have done us the world of good and with what looks like plenty of players returning I’d expect us to field a side that shouldn’t have any excuses...
I also feel we’ll have an advantage as Hull may have an eye on their cup game just a few days later which will surely be their priority over two super league points...

| The problem Wakefield will have v Hull is the same as against every other club. In this instance it will be Miller and Hampshire v Kelly and Connor. 2nd best again.

TBH thought hull looked awful considering what the team cost, tbh would rather have miller than connor who looks totally out of his depth playing in the halves, kelly however is class. Realistically this is probably our best chance of a win in the next few weeks so here's hoping

And both sets of half’s playing behind beaten packs in their last outings .Whoever loses it won’t just be down to the half’s as there are another 15 players on each side to throw into the mix, or is all the blame for our poor performances Solely down to just two men at the club. As I see it the whole team has to step up to the plate ,forwards/backs in order for us to get the win not just the half’s.

| The twos teams both have problems, Hull have a relatively new head coach and we have a long standing head coach. It will be interesting to see how each team performs because this is a game we should probably win or at least score.

| Just to say, from a warrington pov, price didn't want king to leave, he was very happy with him as a squad player (and also last year a lot of us wondered why we were playing a lot more for Jason Clark for the same performance we probably got from king)
But George asked for his release, wanted a fresh challenge and trying to establish himself as a starter.

Possibly why King turned our offer down, to try and get that starting spot.

But maybe he signed initially on the strength that he would start more?
It's water under the bridge now, see how he goes at HKR.

| I don’t actually blames the halves their only problem appears to be they are trying to cover for our deficiencies in other areas. They have no dummy runners or second phase to work from, so they try to compensate for this by doing too much. I accept their kicking game is not the best but when you consider that when Brough played his was equally unimpressive therefore the actual problem must be elsewhere.
We just don’t have a team game plan what we have is each player acts independently.

We get it. You blame Chester.
Personally, although I get that we need forward power and some of our forwards are not performing (or past it) but I still think a good scrum half would improve the forwards too.
Finishing the plays properly will give us more energy in the forwards.
You only have to look at the difference Tim Smith made to Kirmond.

If the shoe fits, unfortunately yes. Wish we could see more consistency than these odd flash in the pans. Love the club but it's bloody purgatory watching these last play kicks and headless chicken unstructured routines.

| Am I right in thinking no dummy runners,or no second phases is down to bad coaching or is it like the slow basic rugby we are playing according to some fans not Mr Chesters falt.So why we got a coach ,is it to keep players fit ,i do not think he is doing a good job of that .But gess that's not is falt

If the coach has to tell the Hooker to run from dummy half then the coach needs to buy a new Hooker.

| The coach needs to train them with a game plan based on watching the opposition and finding gaps in their play. I regret and yes I blame Chester we have no game plan and therefore every performance is the same. We appear to adopt the inside ball quite a lot which unfortunately fools nobody.
I do not see that the addition of a scrum half will change anything because we will still be coached the same way.

| Playing Tanginoa at prop when he came as a dynamic wide running 2nd rower tells you a lot.
Wouldn't see Warrington playing BMM at prop, when you know how destructive he can be used correctly.
Got Tangata, Kopczak, Arona and King to do that.

You are right but that doesn't apply to either of our Hooker.
Josh has scored a few tries running from dummy half and Kyle uses the tactic a lot when we are on a roll. It's the one thing in our armoury when he comes on.

A bit unfair on my part as I know you were only using the position of hooker as an example and as far as I'm concerned we don't have a problem in that department, but there does seem to be a problem somewhere which is dividing the supporters, injuries are a big concern once again but that as an excuse will only go so far, so for me it's simply the players or the coaching staff, maybe the coach needs to surround himself with more experienced assistants, once again that comes down to that old chestnut finances, on a personal note I seem to have lost a bit of confidence in the coach, maybe the players have also lost confidence in the coach as well, it's a bit frustrating really as after the Wigan game who would have thought we'd play as badly against Catalans, maybe they're a better team than we give them credit for, time will tell and hopefully it will get sorted out sooner than later because it it's not sorted this season then we will have big problems next season.

I know I’m probably in a minority here but I just don’t rate Tanginoa. I think he flatters to deceive. He doesn’t break the line as often a people make out, he can’t pass, his handling is suspect and his work rate in attack is average.
However it’s his defence that I really don’t like. Sure there is the odd blockbuster but generally he’s third man in and easily beaten by more agile players.
He’s not a patch on Ali or the god that was Solomona. Nor is he as reliable as as Kirmo or Ashurst in their pomp.
What I think it boils down to is that for all his physicality he hasn’t got a rugby brain.
Just what I see and I don’t suppose many will agree, but whatever he is he isn’t our saviour imho.

| The description could currently be applied to all our players based on current form. The question as always is this down to them becoming worse players or the coaching they receive does not help get the best out of them. The case of Tanginoa is an example he is a wide running second row like the two examples given the problem is Chester plays him at prop to run down the middle. I don’t remember either of the other two quoted were asked to do this hence they played where they do most damage.
