Yeah a red card for Wakefield on both occassions. Hes done it twice within the start of this season so he could easily do it again. Doesn't matter if he punches Hock into next week, if he leaves your squad a man down thats a massive blow.

Same can be said about Hock though, he could flip at any given minute and that could work against us

Both times were in retaliation and I thought he was unfairly punished in comparison with the other player involved just because 1) Bailey ended up bleeding and 2) Farrell collapsed like a jellyfish. In reality in both instances a yellow card would/should have been sufficient.

I'd be fairly confident that Poore won't start anything but he's proved before that if anyone starts on him there's a damn good chance he will finish it.

If Poore dosn't hold back, still a massive risk as both could get reds. However Poore would walk off and Hock would be carried off.

I doubt it. Liam Farrell has been ridiculed for being put on his bum - but I think he'll have been the one chuckling to himself after the game. Two points, two tries, MOTM award....

If the ref had done his job properly, Farrell would have been penalised before Poore took retribution for being elbowed etc in the tackle, cant blame anyone for retaliating.

Best way to stop Hock is to have him running off his own line rather than running at ours.

It's amazing, how far either we have fallen or, Widnes have improved, that we are not even confident about winning a fixture like this.
Last seasons's wooden spoon winners SHOULD be an easy 2 points.
The fact that we go in as underdogs, says a lot about how badly we are performing as a team.
They do of course have some quality players and certainly Hock, Phelps, Hanbury and Ah Van, plus Jon Clark are all decent players but, we have to win games like this, even to be competitive in the bottom half of the league.

Tonight will tell us a lot about where we are as a team. Bar Mathers its our first choice line up against a team around us and played on a fast pitch, which many theories state should suit us. No excuses anymore, a good performance and two points is a must.

Widnes are strong at home, it seems like they've almost mastered the i-pitch but to the detriment of their away form. They've some quality players, and for us to win we'd have to work hard all over the park for 80 minutes doing the basics right.

Our defence has been a problem for a while and i haven't seen anything to indicate it's going to change. I'm not sure what's gone wrong this season, but we don't seem to have the patience nor mental strength to pull us through tight contests.

Totally agree.

With the exception of Poore, there just isn't enough aggression and determination in defence.
Much of the time we seem to just go through the motions and unless we can have some discipline, not giving away penalties and have patience with ball in hand, we could get beaten.
I hadn't realised how good their home form is, only one defeat (and that was to Saints), oops.

Maybe we need another strong aggressive hard running prop who tackles anything that moves like Poore? IMHO with the exception of him, Aiton and Annakin our pack have been well out of sorts this season compared to the last 10 matches of last season.
If they turn up it will be close but i think we'll just beat them but if they all don't play to their potential we'll lose by 20.
