The announcement last week about ‘immediate’ player sales doesn’t seem like it was very immediate. Though I don’t know if true suggestions from some posters on social media are that some clubs aren’t happy that the vote was rejected for quota and salary dispensation and there’s a push for a re-vote. Suggestions that any current offers are on hold to wait and see. Call me old fashioned but if the vote is no then you shouldn’t just repeat it till it’s a yes. Clearly a couple of the top end clubs close to salary cap want a piece to further strengthen but they should have to wait till those who have space make their plays.

It’s worth a watch, touches on Salford etc as he has a fair few players there on his books. Also said we offered Mikołaj Olędzki mega money that dwarfed the rhinos offer but he decided to stay.

It's just some said they would have voted positively if it had been just quota so have asked for a remote with just that. I think the immediate part was just media hype. Salford had a challenge to reduce their bill. They were still working on investment to plug the gap I think that ship sailed on Saturday though.

Can’t remember who the poster was on here but he knew of Oledzki personally and said he was too far into his comfort zone at Leeds to leave.

Hard to tell these days what’s true in media with all these media Facebook pages which seem to be cut and paste part of stories and see how far they can embellish it.

At this Wednesday’s meeting League Express understands that the clubs will agree to a two-week period in which the above four clubs will be able to bid for Salford players with a view to reaching the maximum salary cap level." His statement seems a little contradictory - it actually looks like to 2 week window was granted a fortnight ago and that it could change this Wednesday.

From that it appears they want exemptions to invite competition from clubs that are full on cap and quota to drive up and coming. That’s hardly what was supposed to happen. It’s nice they’re in a position to just not bother accepting offers it seems. I hope majority of clubs like previous vote refuse to grant cap and quota exemptions. Why should clubs spent on cap and quota be afforded the opportunity. I could understand if there was no offers but that doesn’t seem the case.

It appears they have no intention of doing so and are trying to keep the squad ‘hoping’ that the new investors deal goes through. Smells of more delay tactics in hope. Salford not happy at a small fee for one of their better players. They should be lucky they have any and they won’t if they carry on.

Salford are taking the Mickey it seems out of the RFL and the other SL clubs if they’re not entertaining or leaning their phone of the hook. Delay tactics. They’re holding off for either a bidding war or new investment. It stinks rotten when there’s 4 clubs wanting to secure players that the RFL instructed to happen. Salford are rapidly becoming my least favourite team.
