We have been making noise all along have we not? At best it forces them to come up with some "Alternative plan" (that will never happen) to make it look to like they are making an effort to someone that has not followed the whole saga.

Have we? The club have been publically silent for a while and I don't see the story making the press, bar the odd article from the Daily Star.

As the saying goes no news is good news I am certain the club and trust are bang at it behind the scenes. I am sure that if anyone would like to provide help then it may be accepted. The people who are most vociferous about making noise on this site could I presume form a group link in with the club and the trust. If that was required I am sure the club and trust as they have indicated before will come up with a rallying cry. In the meantime I do not think as supporters there is much we can or should do.

I agree, I'm sure MC and the team are working very hard behind the scenes. I was just saying I don't think we have publically kicked up as much as a fuss as we could have as a fan base/club. The best thing we did was threaten legal action.

I'm pretty sure the saying 'no news is good news' doesn't apply over a 10 year period or whatever it is now. In terms of us already making noise - I don't think writing on a forum really creates any ripples. Fair enough, there was the Daily Star articles which seemed provoke a reaction from Box and Co, and I would like to see more of these articles in the public domain. But the last one (a few weeks ago) still stated that the club 'still aren't confident that the stadium will ever be built' and the clubs directors feel the latest site proposal at Balne Lane raises questions abouts it's feasibility and is 'nothing but another stalling tactic'.

In other words - we're no closer now that we were all those years ago!

My approach is no news is... No news.

Maybe the Club, WMDC and the developers are carrying on with behind the scenes talks regarding a community stadium. but let's just hope they are keeping Super League and the RFL up-to-date with developments, because they have the final word as to whether Wakefield Trinity continue as a top grade side or not.

Has anything been said about next season yet?

Apparently there was something said on Rugby AM by Carter, saying there has been nothing at all further on the stadium situation hence no news. Have not seen it myself but someone mentioned it to me last night.

Have we officially signed to play at Belle Vue next season? Or are we in the same situation we were this time last season where we did not know where we would be playing?

He said he has given an idea to the council on how to fund a new Belle Vue, but they have been thinking about it for six months and heard nothing else. He made the point that a redeveloped Belle Vue would preserve the heritage of the pitch and all that has gone before it, with great players of the past.

I took that to mean that he says a redeveloped Belle Vue as the most viable option in terms of time, as he said that the RFL could pull the plug at any time.

Have you heard anything?

At a guess we're playing at Belle Vue next year, there'll be a back up plan but the club don't appear to want to leave to me if avoidable. The commercial loss on matchdays would be a killer.

It was a good show but you could tell MC was very frustrated (understandably) with the whole stadium issue. Pulled up short and didn't finish his sentence a couple of times when he was probably thinking "no I'd better not"

I know it's off topic but I saw a tweet from Allums Butchers today asking for help for traders in the city along with a picture of their desolate street, they offer a very sensible suggestion of a first 30 minutes of free parking.
Shame on the current leaders(I use this term loosely)of Wakefield Council for what our once great city has now become.
A £10million market hall that the traders were opposing in advance saying it would become a white elephant now being demolished for the princely sum of £3million.
If I call into Wakefield on a weekday on my own I actually don't feel safe anymore. Particularly when walking past the Cathedral and along the streets down towards Wilkos.

Don't get me started on the stadium debacle

I seem to recall that the council had the Market Hall built for free by whoever did Trinity Walk.

The bottom of Kirkgate is a real dump.

Edit: Going way off topic here sorry but what's with the increase of beggers in Wakefield? Has a hostel or shelter been opened up recently...I noticed the Graizers has been turned it some time of dwelling but with steal shutters closing the doors off.

There were loads in Hull last night. Every time we made a tackle they were begging for a penalty.

Mind you, when it comes to begging for penalties, Huddersfield are way in front of the rest.
They literally wanted a penalty on every play, regardless of which side had the ball.

Also had to smile at Radfords comments about a second half penalty count in our favour in the second half but, he didnt seem to remember how many Hull had in the first half, along with the Jowitt sin bin.

He was a grub when he played but is much worse now

Good managers should always congratulate the other team win or lose,
I have never once heard him do this, only say how bad his team was
