Lots of theories going around. It will be great for you if some of them do materialise. I wouldn't worry about losing your licence, the RFL won't have the bottle to drop any club, that's an almost certainty.

Regarding the upcoming meeting, don't you think the fact that the club has booked the biggest possible venue might well mean they are after your money. If they have a big announcement which I'm sure they probably do, why do they feel the need to get as many fans as possible together in order to release it? Why not just do it through the normal channels? In my experience these 'most important meetings ever' usually mean 'get your hands in your pockets'.

Theres one of those meetings taking place as we speak if people want to put there hands in there pockets ( picture on the other thread which shows how full it is just for that ). Also the " you wont be dissapointed " comment would suggest otherwise

As there's no way I'm trawling through 18 pages of this , am I right in thinking that your other potential investor , SP might be getting back involved and that he is something to do with Guisley footy team , and a stadium share might be on the cards ?

Along with the Cas stadium saga taking a twist for the worse time wise possibly putting you back in the ' stay in SL ' race ?

If its not about a stadium / investment in one, then for me its not the most imp meeting in clubs history. As atm the only thing stopping us from being a SL club is a stadium.

Not fussed over new brand/badge where going to operate FT squad in championship etc etc

We've never been out of the race in relation to the stadium. It's only the way in which people have interpreted the information that seems to have us at the back of the queue.

Apparently, acorrding to someone on the other Cas Forum, the meeting on the 8th is "all smoke and mirrors - as were good at that" and were very desperate. FFS as far as "smoke and mirrors" is concerned, the words pot kettle and black come to mind - How many versions of the GH story have there been!

Makes me laugh cos anything Wakey say is bull, but they still lap up Dickies tales even though they change quite frequently.

The latest according to the guy in question is that they are applying for planning permission on Whledon Road in August and once the outline is passed, OPUS will give them the money. There is hardly any objectors and its not on greenbelt so they dont expect any problems.

I really hope this announcement on the 8th is something significant and that as others have stated it is investment/ground related. It would be great if AG had out manoeuvred Dicky Wright.

So do I - there's a sneaking suspicion in the back of my mind that in the absence of information, we might be raising our expectations to an unreasonable level; on the other hand, I don't think the new regime is naive (or stupid) enough to descibe the announcement as the most important in the clubs history, only to deliver a damp squib on the night.

I did my bit to get the inside track last night - that was my question to Mr Glover; "if we promise not to tell anyone, will you tell us what the big announcement on the 8th will be?" Unsurprisingly, he wouldn't.

Also Teds absolute inability to get his message across didn't help, a problem he still hasn't solved. Without whipping up the old debate I'm happy enough that the old regime did a decent job over all. However I made it clear then and have remained consistent since that their PR was an utter disaster - clueless is not the word.

The old boards ability to turn a minor set back into a national disaster was second to none. They seem to have no grasp of how to positively spin anything, worse is I don't think they ever felt the need. They were old school and simply didn't get it.

I despair that Cas appear front runners despite trying to grow a beanstalk with no more magic beans than we have. Sorry Ted and Co, but if your reading this that's your fault, you wouldn't listen. Despite the fact that it's the old regime that gave us the NM life line and the new lot seem to be running with it it's Cas who have won the PR war despite actually doing feck all until the panic set in a few month ago. Maybe we should applaud our honesty and deride Tricky's ability to present this Supermarket speculator as a near certainty which it certainly isn't. Truth is folk believe what they want to believe and he gives em what they want and it seems to work.

Nothing Tricky has promised has happened, whilst now he is basically trying to copy NM in the vain hope of buying time.

We all know what will happen here in the end. Cas will join us at NM. What bothers me is that pillock Wright will almost certainly claim it was all his idea and unless our lot get their act together people will believe him. And it matters, I don't mind the share so long as everyone accepts NM was Trinity's baby and not Tricky's!

As for Savilles, well if all is above board this is where the wheels should come off Tricky's wagon.

Got to admire you for being upfront and not even trying to hide your hatred towards Cas, Vasty.

Too many insincere types going around claiming they wish each others clubs well when the reality is they can't wait to s and take joy in the misery that could be heading their way.

Thank god we'll only have to tolerate this laughable faux magnanimousness that some persist with for a couple more months.
