Stanley Rangers 8/9/10 and 11's will be playing in the curtain raiser's at The Hearwell before the Catalans game on the 7th Feb. Should be interesting as I can't see us getting any training in before that date

conformation of this weeks game for Stanley Rangers u12s has put a smile to my face at last,
we should of been playing Normanton Knights at home in league the but preference to the junior challenge cup brings a tasty fixture travelling to Crigglestone All blacks, training has been disruptive but the lads are in great spirit and hope to recapture that winning feeling they was getting before xmas break, kick off is 11-30

back to training a week on thursday,the boys are biting at the bit and have been wanting to get back training early.the 7 week break will have done them the world of good i know one lad thats grown a bit and put on a few extra pounds and cant wait to get back on the pitch.

we started back at Crigg last night, and of course they were all chuffed to death to be back - all i got all night was " have we been moved up ?" - i suppose we'll find out the Monday before the Saturday we all k.o.! Think we'll struggle early as a team tbh 'cos it's a big jump up(probably only3 good teams in 2nd group- no disrespect intended )- this is of course presuming we'll move up !2 players have left , but it's bang out of order if they don't put us back up and give us a chance to improve .
Good news is we're playing at half time - AWAY IN CATALANS , AT THE WAKEY GAME !!!

word of warning when driving into the car park at Stanley Rangers be aware of the new wall on the right hand side it can be quite easily knocked down and damage your car as I nearly did tonight

Stanley rangers under 12s looked in a fine fighting mood to take the spoils today against the Crigglestone All Blacks winning 18 - 6,
in a hard fought battle Crigglestone endured a lot of pressure in the first half and a 80 metre interception try saw them took the lead which they managed to hold on to for most of the first half where Stanley then took the lead 10 -6 just before the whistle for half time, as Stanley began to tire slightly it opened the game into close battle mostly in the mud and a converted try and two drops completed the job for the Rangers. not sure the field could take another game on there now

Saw the first half and Stanley looked the better side to me - thought they would tire in the second half coming up the hill but obviously not - well done to everyone involved . Enjoyable game , but hunger pains drew me away !

after last weeks freeze which saw our away league fixture for the stanley u12s with Dudley Hill canceled we have the next round (quarter final) of the junior challenge cup, and we have drawn guess who,

having beaten them 20 - 4 at home last year in the league, I hope they can return another strong performance

Stanley Rangers under 10's will be showcasing their talents at Belle Vue prior to the Catalans game on Sunday........we'll be in pink!

Just going up to Shaw Cross to watch first team get destroyed by Leigh miners rangers. my lads founds himself on the bench god help him.

another great performance for the stanley rangers u12s on a cold foggy day,
right from the start they was put under pressure from an inform dudley hill side who wasn't going to go down without a battle in the junior challenge cup quarter final,
scoring the first two tries they never looked back even when dudley tried to claw their way back into the game, at half time it was 8 - 14 to stanley, the second half flowed better, distributing the ball to the wings to increase the final score to 8 - 24,
bit of claret was spilled when a high tackle hit my lad on the nose and was pleased to see him return when it dried up
magic moment of the game was to one of our lads that hasn't scored but has kept his shape on the wing week in week out, ran in to score from and unselfish pass

And crigglestone will be in ....erm , black.

Good day for the lads today - won both of their games , but more pleasing was how they played after only having probably 2 training sessions since the season finished for the break .

stanley won both and i think its a shame that both teams could not compete, crigg deffo group a standard imho , the number 8 had a good day and i spoke to his dad who told me about his break .... hes always been a bit fiery lol.

Number 8 for Crigg was excellent IMHO, 6 looked good also. Was very pleased with ALL my lads to say we'd only had 1 training session since early December. Shame we didn't get to play Crigg, would of been a good game for both teams, they should be in top group IMHO.

Couldn't aggree more - let's hope we meet up in the coming months !

managed to get away from work just in time, got there before kick off so enjoyed the full match,
Crigg All Blacks u12s put some real effort in to their defense keeping Stanley Rangers to just the 6 points by half time playing down the hill, the second half was nearly all Stanley and we continued to show that we are getting things right, the final score was 21 - 0,

next week we entertain the Normanton Knights at home in the league 11-30 kick off

looking at the fixtures they are just a repeat from week 1 back in september,i think they are missing a chance to compare the teams that are caught between two divisions here unless they have no intention of changing the groups which would be criminal on teams like crigglestone and heworth.
