Went to Headingley last night to watch grandson play at half time for Stanley Rangers.
A few observations
Nightmare to get there.
Hate whinos but love the ground
Watching the game as a neutral, found it fascinating how home supporters see the game (blinkered). Are we all the same ?
Leeds where dire, their first try blatant forward pass and possible obstruction.
Salford are a good side and take some beating.
Left as soon as we could.

Oh! and grandson got a hat trick in 10 minutes, that's 19 so far this season.
Even if I say so myself he is looking very promising, and a big Trin fan.

Bit of a contradiction there.

Just seen on Sky Sports online that Wigan Athletic players not training, players still waiting for their wages. Wonder if this will affect Wigan RL.

Why would it? Other than maybe a chance to go after the stadium if the football club are in trouble.

Right now, I don't think Ivan Cleary would be able to do much with this squad or the budget he has to work with.

Interesting at tonights game, no away supporters so only about 5,000 there and some left early. Milky went off late in the first half and Widdop was hooked early in the second half and walked straight down the tunnel. We looked a much better team after that so it will be interesting to see next week's team selection.

I have just seen the tackle on Miller, how the Catalan player involved stayed on based on the current protocol is baffling.

They won't go bust, they'll just flog a player to fill the gap. Thats why they signed their better players up to long contracts, to make them more valuable assets. They've apparently already turned down a 150K bid for Tyler Dupree.

They were foolish for turning that down then. He's good but if they are in trouble that's a big chunk of money.

Read this morning that St George have sacked their coach, but furthermore, they are having a clear out of players, and some will be offered to super league clubs.

I know we don't have the quota spots, unless we were to release anyone, we can though live in hope.

However, other clubs that may well be interested, may need to release players to make room within their budget or cap.

As someone elsecsaid, it will take ages for visas to come through so its a next year solution not this year.

Lino would be the only overseas player I would renew next year.
