A quality 9 is a must ahead of 2026.

I’m not sure where we get one from at this stage ahead of 2025 especially with no quota spots.

It’s not ideal but we may have to dip into the loan market again for 2025.

Tom Forber would be a potential realistic target. He’s been with us before, unlikely to be in the 17 at Wigan when everyone is fit and showed he’s far too good a player to not be playing SL when he took the starting 9 spot for Wigan in their run at the back end of the season and playoffs/Grand Final win.

I’m confident we will be targeting a more sustainable long term solution from 2026.

The key signings for 2026 will likely be at 9 and 13 I expect.

As you say quality at 9 isn’t around at the moment so I feel we may have to look outside UK for a quality 9. Though perhaps that depends on Doyle and Smith in 2025. They could end up being our 2026 partnership.

Personally so long as whoever comes in will challenge for a starting spot and improve us I will be happy.

Wigan favour their young hooker so go for Kruise Lemming or if we get a quota spot Daniel Levi. All depend on how Whalmsley, Antoni and Bain go this year

A very good signing IMO by Wakey as he is a very talented and promising young player and is definitely one for the future.

Who said he was? He's a player of potential, its what we have bought. Not every player has to arrive SL ready, especially young ones. He may slot in very quickly especially with full time training, but with a 3 year deal it looks long term. It's a luxury we never used to have, happy days.

Myers will be unavailable for the time being, he received a four match ban at the end of last season.

Rumour is under the agreement between the clubs that if he isn’t playing SL for us he will be loaned back to Bradford.

Was really peed off when we allowed him, Ford and Davis to go to Cas as it virtually rescued them from relegation. Double whammy too as it also weakened us for the playoffs where Shudds triumphed and got that unexpected 2nd super league place.

I see Hull KR are on the verge of signing Leon Ruan.

He refused to sign the contract offered! End of story, move on. He’s hardly set the world on fire has he. He’s no better than Shaw at this point, in fact he’s lost ground.

If HKR have the key then fine best of luck to the lad. For me I’m only interested in the youngsters we have, especially Pratt, Smith and Lingard who I think have far bigger futures than Ruan.

I didn’t mention anything about the past and about him not signing a contract years ago. I was simply talking about the present and that he could be worth looking at. It’s obvious his career has stalled somewhat and as a project player I think he could be worth a look. I’m not sure what you mean about moving on. It’s you who’s mentioned the past yet have told me to move on. Don’t quite understand that.

Where did I say I’m not interested or more invested in the young players we have here at Trinity like those listed? I’m not sure how me saying I’d like to see Ruan given a punt has any bearing on how I think of other young trinity players who imo have bright futures.

Obviously we only see the on field person so there could be other things but Willie doesn't sign mugs so I reckon he's got a good chance there.

I'm not up on our young backrowers but that's probably somewhere we need to have some people on the pathway. The future looks good in all other areas but with Vagana, Seth and Storton it's not like it's an immediate emergency.

As for Ruan he moved on from us and to be honest I have seen little from him that would put him in the shop window for us to go back to
