The only comfort I suppose is that you appeared on here during the takeover process and gave us assurances that Mr Parkin would be our new owner in short order; if the verisimilitude of your latest predictions is similarly inaccurate, we've got no worries about being forced into a groundshare at GH.

I've been on here a lot longer than that and have been a Trinity fan for over 2 decades, so no question of love for our club on my part.

All options need to be considered. We are without a home and facing a set back with what we all want in the long term. We need to consider all options for getting there in the short and medium term.

Being pig faced (no offence meant to anyone) has got us nowhere. We need to be open minded to ALL possible solutions to securing the long term future of WT.

I never predicted anything. All I said was it needs consideration. Unless you think the problems we face may go away if we simply look the other way.
We are working well to turn round some of the historical mistakes, open mindedness should be encouraged.

Wakefield fans will not watch their team at GH. Cas fans will not watch their team at NM. When will people realise this and stop going on about sharing. Its a non-starter, forget about it. Should our new owner move us to GH then he will be known forever as the man who made the decision that killed Wakefield Trinity. Not sure he'd want that somwhow.

Trinity need a stadium for next year. GH certainly isn't going to be it. We'll find out the fate of Newmarket next year. If it's a no then the club needs to look at the options available to them.

The haste has been taken out of the situation now. Effectively the developers have 3-4 years to produce NM. Trinity will need a home to play at in the interim, but if they are not in SL it may as well be at BV. The ruling preventing the land use to be changed until an alternative is found may keep the rent low. If not there then perhaps Dewsbury's ground would be the next best option.

There is plenty of open mindedness on here, just not for a groundshare that would lead inevitably to a merger and ultimately, the extinction of Wakefield Trinity.

That is a true statement in respect of the stadium element but it is not as simple as saying that the only two things permitted are the training pitches. The guidelines do allow for supporting buildings and infrastructure for these facilities. So changing rooms, car parking, indoor training facilities (gym) are considered permitted also. Of course the scale is the issue and therefore I think the majority of the stadium and car park is indeed outside of this, but that the majority of the community sports facilities could equally be considered as permitted.

Anyway, this might not be a problem. The actual objection to the MUGA has been very small, indeed the leading opposition group states on it's website that "We are not opposed to a stadium for Wakefield Wildcats."

Surely, they will not be so hypocritical as to change their minds (again) on such a clear and bold position! Of course not, they are not NIMBY's you know!

what ever happens it probably too little too late to save your SL status this time around. Which while this is a shame maybe a few years out of the spotlight to out your house in order and build your own stadium in wakefield will be good for you and make you come back stronger

Mr Glover looks like he has decided to have a clean sheet and look at ALL options, not to actually say we want to share with Cas.

By looking into all possibilities, they will be looking at costing up all options, scoring the possibilities against a stringent criteria provided by the franchise process, with pro's and con's rationally looked at thoroughly.

The thing that stood out for me from the fans q+a meeting about a month ago was when they said that they are looking at options of temporary stands. That to me would have more weight in our options than a Cas share at anywhere else than GH.

I heard that too. Heard we will be staying at Belle Vue until Newmarket is ready.

I am not sure whether staying at Belle Vue would automatically consign us to the Championship or not but i imagine that it certainly isn't going to help our application.
