| Good luck to him if true.
A player who gives his best but without being disrespectful to him, he’s replaceable.
He won’t be the last to go, I suspect as our downfall continues.

1 it will be no fee if we are relegated

Agree on this news of us potentially getting someone to put money into the club and suddenly Cas are getting a backer and signing our players. Seems a bit too coincidental and a but suss.

Actually that is a good point. I'd forgotten that.
But still, if you had money to replace Westerman, would you spend it on Crowther or aim higher?
Don't get me wrong, I like Crowther, but he isn't Westerman.

You cant get more Trinity than Crowther and you wont get a harder working player either.
On the basis that our recruitment has been less than average and we now seem happy to let some of our youngsters leave, what on earth is going on.
Hell, if a struggling side lke Cas can come and start picking off our players, we could be stuffed.
Looks like we're already slashing and burning ready for the Champinship ?

Indeed, it showed that we have written off the season and our chances of SL survival.
It certainly wont help our recruitment for next season.
Until it's impossible to survive, every sinew of energy and any comment from the club should be positive, not defeatist.
Leave the doom and gloom to the fans (me included).

Westerman is staying at Cas. Crowther will more likely be replacing the ageing and ineffective Milner.

| Crowther hasn't fulfilled his potential, his enthusiasm is there for all to see but his failure is his lack of go forward.I am a bit mixed with him.
Reece is more straightforward, been dire this season (like a lot more) and imo his best days were quite a way back.

There have been rumours for some while that Milner would be coming to Trinity, I wonder if we're doing a "swap".
The thing with Crowther is that he's still improving and despite what you say, he's a great defender and has superb fitness, significantly better than some of our more illustrious forwards and yet, Crowther is the one that "we're" happy to let go.

Crowther is solid. He’s a good defender but limited in attack and has no hands to get involved in plays or link ups. Very definition of a squad player really. He may come into his own as a late bloomer in his late 30s but he works hard. I’d be okay with him staying but not overly disappointed if he didn’t. I would wish him well as a trinity product.
As for Lyne. Well, he’s only 30 and should be in his pomp but he’s got a turning circle like the titanic and since his England call ups his form has deteriorated quite drastically in 2022 and 2023.

We have differing opinions on many aspects which is fair enough , but I think your summary is about right on this one. I would also add that as far back as I can recollect players form seems to drop when they have a benefit year

| Yet another player berated by all and sundry as not good enough for our club and now he’s suddenly turned into Jessie Bromwich and there is a public outpouring amongst fans that we’re letting our best players go . Make up your mind please as it’s getting more farcical by the day listening to what must surely be the most fickle fans around

I agree, applies to both Crowther and Kershaw
I like both of them, they give all they have for the club BUT the fickle fans, as you rightly say have upgraded them for their own purpose to 'star' status, which they aren't.
I don't know, but assume both are OOC at the end of the season, in which case there's little we can do about it if they want to go.
In any event, personally even if we stay up (which we won't) I'd like to see a few more players leaving the club.

The very reason why BLM left this site alone is the constant berating of his son . I like Both Kershaw and Jordy and was hoping when MC alluded to offering a core set of players financial stability going forwards in the form of a duel contract that these two along with max would be the first names on the sheet to both stabilise and move forwards as a club

| Based on what Carter said and the published list of yet to be determined, I think we've offered contracts to Jowitt, Lino and Bowes.
The rest are being worked through but they can also discuss elsewhere if they want to.
And Gale I think.

Your first paragraph nicely describes 2 of our overseas players, l know who I'd want in the trenches with me when fighting for the clubs future or trying to get back up next season.
It wouldn't be those 2.
If Jordy as not been offered a dual contract it's another shocking decision.

Lino
Personally looking at the out of contract list I would be aiming at Ben Reynolds. Seen him a few times this season and looks to have improved a lot since he was last here at wakey.
I’ve never been convinced by Lino and I’m still not. He’s a luxury to a team like ours. I also don’t think he’s good enough at SL level.

Think he is one of about 4 players that are good enough ,one as played one match ,IT is the rest of the squad that are not good enough
