The only time I ever went into a game against Cas with confidence was in 2004 and we won… constant defeats over the past few years have left me totally devoid of any confidence playing Cas… even hope is in short supply and the RL success God abandoned us in the 1960s

That’s strange because he was back playing for Salford reserves this weekend.

It was quoted as another short term loan so probably only a couple of weeks like with us. Barrow needed to cover someone injured or suspended.

If Milkys fit he plays, If Jowitts fit he plays, or in the centres if we have any injuries there. They are the only positions I would play Gaskell in. I`m sure he is able to cover other positions but not in the pack. The Wigan game was is first 1st team outing after injury and your wanting to put him against Westerman & co. We need our forwards firing to play Cas, not a back player out of position in the pack.

totally agree - put all into winning Thursday - rest payers who need it for the wigan game

if we are to make top 6 (where we are now ) it will be by winning games against cas .

Certainly need to target the Cas game with such short turn around as I fear the Wigan game will non other than an away loss ,and looking at our youngsters scoreline against them it looks like they have a great crop coming through that Wigan system as well as the current first team. Having said that we have plenty of youngsters banging on the door of first team duties ,and those that having been given their chance have done themselves the power of good and not only competed at the higher level but also enhanced the first team’s performances

Willie did such a good job with getting players contacting previous players about what it was like to play for Wakefield Trinity.
Perhaps we could do with some of the same in terms of what the "Adam Watene" trophy should mean to this club. Isn't that usually at stake the first time we meet each season? Breaks my heart that they have had it for so long now - I want it back!!

Totally agree. Overall Chester did ok but one of the things that contributed to his demise at trinity was him putting square pegs in round holes. Gaskell has never been a forward and we have 3/4 loose options available who know that position. I can see why it maybe worth a look but there’s just no necessity for it atm.
