Ryan Hampshire is invaluable to me as cover for a number of positions but Max Jowitt is IMO, of course, the best FB on the books

Never ceases to amaze me that we get a good win against a team that embarrassed us quite recently and people are picking fights about a player who didn't even play.

I enjoyed the game and thought we played pretty well with some individual standout players.

No you're not...once we got over that poor start and got our noses in front we never looked like losing

And of course that is your opinion you believe max is better and you are entitled to that i believe ryan is better maybe it may have somthimg to do with us playing our best and getting best results with one in team and an other not.

He’s not expressing an opinion he’s expressing a fact. You have no idea what Jowitt would have done, as ever you are negatively speculating. I’m sure Hampshire would be the first to admit he was luck, right place, right time, turned the right way for an open try line, could have turned the other way and got clattered.

Has to be said thought Thaler had an okay game. The Kelepi try wasn’t a try but I’ve seen those scored against us.

It was a try. It never hit the floor it just swapped hands and as it was grounded it was under control.

It was however extremely lucky as that clearly wasn’t the intent.

It wasn’t perfect by any means but it’s a win and one we deserved. Always nice to to beat the big spending but perennial underachieving Giants even if it is in a dead rubber.

It’s not a dead rubber for us. True we can’t get top six but an end of season surge is vital for us if we are to drum up support for next year.

A 9 or 8 finish is hardly cosmic but it’s comfortable but above all we start next season as a form team - vital imho.

If you prefer Max to Rocky or visa versa that's okay it's your opinion, but why trade one off against the other to prove a point, they are both invaluable to the club and whichever is your preference surely you don't have to disrespect one of them to endorse your point, or don't you think there is room at the club for both of them?.

To be honest i’m not sure that surge will make a great deal of difference now. The mood changed the second MC finally pulled the trigger on Chester, the feeling of hope returned. The wins are nice but i’m pretty sure the change means all the usual will support as they usually do whilst the floating fans will continue to float and see how things go. Being already popular Poching doing well might help if & when he gets the job but even if he have tanked then a whole new broom coming in would have had a similar effect. The lads will start next season full of belief whatever happens just like every team does, tough pre-seasons tend to do that to the psyche. Although i have to admit that with a likelihood of 3 teams going down next year a good start is vital.

Hope he's OK but it was definitely a bonus having Kay on the field. Might have slowed us in the middle slightly with no interchange.
When he made his break though it was obvious he still had the hooking effort in his legs but took the chance well.

Just watched the game again , lot of positives thought pack played really well and once you know the result it’s easy to say we never look troubled. Lol Kershaw probably has the highest work rate, but thought westerman was mom


Only negative was Toms injury, just his head hitting ground fairly hard butt he was proper out cold, third time this season and personally am glad that he can now take some time out without any more impacts to the head

I would say that was the nearest we have come to a complete 80 minute performance for a long time (75 mins ?) and can't single out one player who had a bad game. Our pack dominated theirs, which set the platform for the backs to work off, our completion rate seemed excellent and barring the first 3 minutes, we controlled that game quite comfortably and fully deserved the win.
