| Quote ="chissitt"Your pushing against an open door here mate, I totally agree with you a hundred percent, all this fining of the three clubs has come after the event, not really interested other than Wakefield's game, what I'm trying to say is that if the game has been played and the points awarded (hence my after the event comment) which was to Salford assuming we are talking the correct game, then they can't really award Wakey a 24nil victory, for my money as well as the fine which should not have had half suspended they should have had a number of points deducted for blatant cheating.'"
Totally agree. It’s not as if the protocols and rules were new as it was mid season. Because of the potential importance of next season they dare not dock points off clubs imo. Should be 2 points stripped.

No it's not the one they have been fined for is the one that got postponed at our place on the 1st July that hasn't been rearranged yet and now because of these fines been handed out won't be replayed so because of that we and hull fc should be awarded the 24-0 wins for them not following protocols which led to these games been off

Incorrect. The postponed 1st July game was scheduled to be at their place. (Round 12). This is the one they have been fined for. It was played on the 16th July at Warrington.
We should have played Salford at home Round 17 on 2nd August but that was also postponed. This theoretically could still be played, although i doubt it will be.

| The latter post is correct, I guess they will have or will need to look into Salford’s reason why they had so many players under the COVID-19 protocol and like Sacred I cannot see it going ahead.

But this doesnt help: The RFL’s Communications and PR Manager, Andrew Donnelly, this week said after being questioned why it was not a 24-0 to Wakey "Salford passed the threshold for seeking a Covid postponement. In theory, the game could yet be replayed.” They, or he, dont know it has already taken place, creating confusion.

| Quote ="homme vaste"The differences in journeys home from Wembley were not to be seen on a photo, despite you trying to use that as a stick to beat the RFL with. St Helens as a club returned home inline with there player bubbles, on 3 separate coaches, Castleford did not follow the protocol and mixed groups, so I hope that clarifies that for you? So yes Saints did follow protocol, Cas did not.
It`s nothing to do with been honest though is it really? If you sight Covid as a reason and Covid was not the reason that means you were unable to fulfil the fixture and was not covered by the Covid Protocols? Before Covid was around, if you had called a game off for all the reasons you suggest above i.e. Academy players backing up, injuries, mid season international then you would have been docked 2 points and fined as you have here. There's no difference.'"
I've no issues with the 24-0 as you say that's what the rules state- and the board were well aware that would be the outcome. What im saying is that some clubs are deliberately using Covid to avoid fixtures and therefore not being hit with the same outcome - nice and fresh they can avoid difficult / congested fixtures
as for saints - did they have three open top buses also........ and if they are all above board as you claim why was it made public after id written my comment that saints are being investigated.......
both our chairman have intimated before that there are some clubs who are open and above board, I think Davy used the term integrity in relation to this, and some who are less so.

Re the open top bus comment, we all know the protocols on Covid make very little sense when it comes to player bubbles etc Jools, but rules are rules aren't they and if they haven`t been followed then that has to be punished.
I`ve said from day one the Covid, track and trace, 7 players business is so open to manipulation from Clubs, I would hope that the RFL had some way of auditing that but I don`t think they do...

You see what you've done there is expect the RFL to know their backside from their elbow.

Salford sought a postponement prior to the Covid stand-down, didn't get permission and then surprisingly managed to get 7 of their players marked down as close-contacts of a positive case.
As I said before, if that doesn't look suspicious to the governing body then I suggest that they all need a trip to Specsavers. Salford played the system and won, other clubs have lost out by being honest.
