I understand that, but that is the whole point of Coco's thread. We are talking about who wore the 7 shirt.
Of course personally, I preferred it when the match day shirts were numbered 1 to 13 no matter who plays.
That does beg the question how they handled it in the pre squad number days.
If you play say Sam Obst at 7 but the week after Tim Smith plays or maybe someone like Tony Kemp. They can all play the position but they don't all fit the same shirt
Maybe they restitched the numbers on different shirts.
