Saints, Cas, Salford have all pretty much "shut down" on here, due to lack of moderation.
Without some decent moderation, this would very likely go the same way.
Maybe you should put yourself forward for a job that pays nowt and all you get is grief for not doing it right and all this over a topic that was non rugby related and full of conspiracy stuff, much of it closed down on other platforms.
The sin bin on here would be a good place for covid chat but, I'm not sure that it ever belonged on here - apart from the effects that covid has on RL but, lets be honest, in the zillion pages, the sport barely got a mention.'"
Hey! Hold on wren. I'm not knocking PT in this instance at all. He's doing a job that I could never do and does it pretty well. I don't always see eye to eye with his opinions, but as a Mod I think he does a great job. I just wondered if it was the kind of position that should be shared as it was in days gone by.

Fair enough mate.
The thread that was closed had nothing to do with RL and was an outlet for conspiracy theories galore.
I'm surprised that it went as long as it did.

Agreed!
It's ironic that the longest running thread on this forum had nothing to do with Trinity or rugby league, even.
What did it all prove in the end?

Nah it wasn’t moderation as such it was more like xenophobia. None of these supporters could accept any criticism from outside so one by one they scuttled of to their little ghettos where the only opinions they hear are their own. Tragic and gutless imho.
This forum is not what it once was but that’s not moderation just fashion with other forum styles mow more popular.
It’s sad that some interesting posters like TRB and Belly and many others don’t post anymore but their choice, people move on.
All the same there is enough of interest on this forum though I’d like to see more let go and it be a little less woke in moderation but that’s just my opinion. What I am happy about is that despite numerous attempts most Trinity fans remain pretty resilient to the idea of creating some ghastly virtual echo chamber.

Wonder what ever happened to Gronk and Bigalf, they usually provided some "entertainment", especially when there was a derby game approaching.

Al turned his back on the club when he was evicted from the stadium by stewards for have a bottle of pop, one of the most stupid decisions ever made was not to resolve the arguement and he left the forum, good time after I met up in passing in asda and he said he doesn't miss the forum as being a moderator had taken a big part of his life and had taken up baking as relaxation,
great bloke and good friend that would do anything for you, except open his wallet
TRB just lives around the corner from me and told me about the length of time he spent on the forum and all the hard work he had put in had left him a bit exhausted and feeling that he had missed a good part of his family life and he regreted it to some extreme,
a real gentleman willing to listen to all views
Rebel Rebel think he lived in Germany and used to meet up with the other mods when visiting England
Kinleycat not seen or heard of him for a while, he was interested in being a part of Trinity brewery and was involved at the begining but failed to invest his money into it, he later walked away leaving me no other than to fund it all myself as we had already was up and running in the making of the kit I had no other option, it was disappointing but he's a fun guy to be around
Wildthing just a name at the top of the page not been on for years
leaves Pop Tart for all the grief he gets must be made of sturner stuff, I personally wouldn't do it for a gold pig
as for gronk I think he still lives under the bridge of the river aire at methely

Gronk only appears to slag off the officials whenever Cas lose and then slithers back into his hole.

| Actually it's worth saying that it was easier when there were more of us mods on here so we could have a balanced opinion of how we handle things.
As it's only me, whenever I get anything particularly contentious I run it past Admin and the other mods for opinion so it isn't just my personal biased view.
Equally if there is a decision you don't like, you are free to PM me to discuss it, or raise a ticket with Admin through the help function at the top of the page.
Can't say I've ever unlocked a locked thread but I have reduced a ban before. But not often

Havercroft and Ryhil are the same place in all but name. At one time Ryhil was a bit nicer and the more important of the two. Havercroft was basically just a creation of the pit. Now though Havercroft has a few nice estates and is fine.
Both place are really nice these days with dust a few dodgy areas but where isn’t that the case these days.
Having lived in Sandal, Walton Crofton and Havercroft/Ryhil, Havercroft/Ryhill is far and away the most friendly and peaceful.
Only issue is access, no quick roads.
Royston, don’t like it so much though the part near the golf course looks ok.
