I think so - and there's lots of reasons for that - including them being much more finely tuned athletes knocking ten bells out of each other; size and speed; tackle technique, and the number of games.

I'd also like to think that we hear more about it now because player welfare is much higher on the agenda - so they're looked after by their clubs and not expected to play with injuries and/or dosed up on injections?

I agree that the left wing is a bit of a weakness for us at the moment. Warrington and Huddersfield definitely made in roads in this area. Can't blame Max much since he is playing a role he doesn't normally play. He is however often caught out of position in the defensive line and it could be a while before he and Joe develop an understanding defence wise. I just hope it is soon.

I'd argue we have better and more important players missing...Johnstone, Tupou, Randell, Huby, Batchelor....Kirmond and England missed last week too...little ole Wakey, not even spending up to the cap seem to be coping alright though...

Yes, we all have to cope with injuries and some are easier to cover than others and yes, Trinity have some to key players but, when you see how easily Cas rolled them over in the second half of last weeks game, if you were a Pie, you would also be worried and getting your excuses in early.

Tbf to Lam, he hasn't trotted out the virus in the camp and he expects his side to be having a go.

Let's hope that we prepare expecting a visit from the reigning champions and put them to the sword and that we dont make any changes because they are down on troops.

I’m not making excuses I’m just saying it how it is and that I don’t think we’ll win because you’ve got the biggest pack in SL and will probably steamroll us down the middle.

You have to wonder what the hell the Wigan medical team are doing. Granted some cant be helped like Manfredi and Sammut, yet to maybe have an entire first choice pack out does speak volumes.

I'm sure we won't be complacent if it's true about so many Wigan players missing, because the difference between Wigan and many other clubs is that they have players in reserve who would walk into most other SL clubs.

Most of the injuries the medical team can’t do much about tbh. Greenwood took a nasty swinging arm from Liam Bryne, Farrell tore his pectoral, Lockers has had issues with his calf for over 5 years and Hamlin is obviously different kettle of fish.

I sincerely hope we don't try 'steamrollering' you down the middle, we've tried that on a few occasions and it hasn't worked out how it was supposed to!
