That's the point, attrition is a killer in RL so you need to start at full strength. Losing Gale alone won't knock them out though it still a big loss but then what happens if they pick up another which tends to be how these things go. I honestly am amazed that most fans aren't more positive about what is a big loss for a team we are surely hoping to challenge this season.

Been reading they are going to play the game and deregister him for the year and get someone in. Not sure if that is possible or not as he’s on a playing contract but reported by one of the journalists on Twitter.

He is a huge loss to them for a whole season. Difficult to see where a quality replacement is going to come in and on a year’s deal at this stage in proceedings. Trueman showed his worth for them last year and is deserving of a chance to step up, whether they can risk that for a whole year though?

Without wishing to be nasty – this must be seen a bonus for those planning on challenging for the play offs this year, us included.

At last a bit of sense - they have been unlucky in that they have missed the last player available who was Drinkwater and I assume they would need to get rid of a quota player for that - that leaves British players and I don't see many of them available.

Not a case of us gloating it's bad luck for them and it could just as easily happen to us but to down play it is utterly daft, it's a bad one for Cas.

Cas will cope without Gale but, they are a far better side when Gale is playing and is in decent form.
He could be the difference between top 4 and not or, a home semi final or not, a huge loss.
It may even ope the door for a new side to make the semi finals

Yup, most teams that finish in the top 5 will have benefited from the misfortunes of others at some point - that's how it is.

If they have a quota spot they may take a punt like they did with QLT and sign a back up half. Wasn’t Godinet over here training with shudds but they said not interested in signing.

I like Godinet but he’s more a nine than a seven imo and nowhere near as good as Gale nor are any of the other existing Cas halves - Truman may be one day but not yet (I think that’s his name).

I can't believe some people think this is funny or seem to be glad that it's happened, he's a human being with a family to take care of. Gale is still an outstanding talent and I for one am going to miss watching his class this season.

I am personally delighted that a Cas player is injured I hope they all get injured in pre season, that they lose every match, that they go bankrupt, that the towns pox epidemic becomes public knowledge and has to be quarantined for ever, that the massive drug problem , benefit fraud, rampant incest problem, theft from food banks so they can spend their disability benefit on Special Brew and cigs are brought to the National attention so that Box can no longer hide these issues by doling out Tax payers money to the keep it hidden.
