Got to agree with this. With the Kevin Locke Tim Smith issue it was dealt with by the club as quickly as possible, yet in the Tomkins case it appeared Wigan were willing to sweep it under the carpet until the video was out social media this weekend. Going by the comments of the bar owner, Wigan were clearly aware of this some weeks ago but Radlinski makes out he saw it for the first time this weekend!

Looking forward to this one and hoping that Wigan are in some disarray after their cup exit and subsequent "troubles".
If we can match them up front and control the ball, this could be a "bonus" 2 points.

On the other hand they could really be 'up for it' after two defeats and bad publicity.

I suppose that all boils down to whatever the issues are - as people say this could be good for us or not so good.

However imho we are more than capable of competing and possibly beating a full strength and motivated Wigan if we play to our potential so no excuses as far as I’m concerned.

That's what I expect - a fully motivated (aka Grubby) Wigan turning up to try and literally wrestle two points away from Wakefield. Wane will probably have them tearing raw meat off the carcass in the dressing room beforehand.

As Vastman says, if we play to our best we've shown in the past few seasons that we are more than capable of doing them over, and lets hope we see it again.

They're definitely in a bad place at the moment - what with the disruption of Wane's announcement, the golden boy departing, and weeks of stress involved in covering up that rotten incident in a local pub; but they're still Wigan - so they could just as easily get in the trenches and give us a drubbing.

I'd love to be wrong - but to turn them over, we'll have to be good - and we haven't been lately.

We have had a weeks rest and hopefully (so far) some decent training sessions, Bren2k is right they're still Wigan and 2 players as key as they are won't make as much difference as some would think.

Will be a close one in my eyes but I can see a Trinity win providing the right Trinity show up.

Who are the 2 key players? Joel has been ineffective for a few seasons now and is a penalty machine!

Joel has still averaged 20 games a season so is ever present and 9 penalties this season, quite a few names with more...

Play anything like and you'll score 50+ again.
Wigan are in a worse state than last year and we can't even play the injury card this year.

It's only last few weeks they've been bad, I expect Wigans bad period is over and they will be back up for it next week knowing our luck. Hopefully we are up for it.

Agree about Joel, not an automatic choice when Pies are at full strength.
Sam would have to be made of stone for all this not to have affected him mentally and a few reminders from the home fans may make it even worse for him.

You've had 2 bad results and found that once again, you've got some numpty's in your player roster but, get a grip.

You may get beaten by Trinity on Thursday but, you've hardly got an injury list like some and just because Wane is leaving and the Tomkin's brothers have let you down, dont expect us to feel sorry for you.

Since John Bateman took on Wire on his own, he's the one player you don't want to be available for them - the rest looked mediocre and disinterested; all that said, I wouldn't take anything for granted - they are still favourites and very capable of putting us to the sword.

Wigan were impressive at Magic Weekend, incidentally Wane announced he was off on the Monday following this. Two bad defeats and this video of the Tomkins brothers followed. Not a good time for them but they are very effective at what they do and we will still have to be at our very best. They are more than capable of toughening up and winning the whole competition if they finish top four so lets not assume an easy ride.
