Big game for us, always felt Huddersfield are one of our bogey teams.. Injuries to our hookers and resting players be interesting to see how we line up. I would line up like this:

I'd have Hampshire cover hooker (could even bring in Hiddlestone? who played in the reserve game the other day who played well) and maybe start Annakin or Batchelor in the back row and maybe stick Horo on the bench. Give Arundel a game in the instead of Lyne.

Not too sure why your shocked at him putting Ashurst at hooker, he's very competent there and has played there a few times for us a few seasons back.

Apparently Crowther might be an option at 9 as well.

Personally, I can't remember him playing there but if he has I wouldn't move my best second row there when we know Hampshire can do a decent job at hooker.

We're obviously forced into a few player changes down to injury but imo I wouldn't be making too many above what we already have to do, just the odd change here and there may be if CC wants to rest or try other players.

next week at wigan will not be a must a win.

Personally I think we need play as many players as possible in their correct position with any changes as minimal as possible. Finn/Hampshire to cover rather than Ashusrt to hooker, Arundel to second row and MCB to centre. No need for a big move around.

Arundel to the second row? when we have a fair number waiting to play. Especially as you say we need players playing in their correct positions

This the bit I don't get, why Arundal to SR when we have at least three actual SR players available. Arundal is a centre he's never played SR at the top level has he?

Yes you are missing something. Read my my post again. Im saying rather than move everyone around into unfamiliar positions, just use Finn or Hampshire to cover. It was another poster who suggested Arundel to second row, not me. I agree with you. For once.

I think we need as little disruption as possible, people playing out of position en mass is never a good idea

Suspect a lot will depend on injury situation, after 3 wins would be harsh to drop anyone if they are fit to play, however personally prefer arundel to lynne. Losing wood was massive at catalans and having watched it on tv horo actually had a better game than what it looked like live.

Re MCB cant see why they would drop bjb who has been strong defensively , under high ball , run the ball in on first couple tackles on a set of 6 and in 3 games hardly had a decent pass.

Anyway another few hours and all will become clear !

The pitch is covered and they have a blower going under the covers. With it being on Sky they will make every effort to make sure it is on.

Looking forward to this one - Ball retention / set completion is key when played in weather like this. I can see a slow tight game with the forwards being the key difference in the middle.

Conditions will also suit Huddersfield as their attack seems to be lacking some what from what I've seen so far this season.

Tbf it would be harsh if any of the backs got dropped, but in the high intensity of the forward battle last Saturday it would be understandable if a couple of forwards were rested, injuries apart.

I can see this being a bit of a war of attrition. I'd say if there has to be any changes try to make them like for like in position.

Snow expected for the rest of the week including Friday, not looking very promising is it? pitch might be alright but i suppose the transport and surrounding areas to the ground are the worry.
