Having games on different days can be a right pain in the backside, especially games on "the darkside" on Friday evenings.
However, working around the needs of Sky, something we have very little choice with, each club has to decide what is best for them and with most Sky games being on Fridays (with some Thursday games), it's little wonder that most clubs have moved to Friday nights, as it's far less disruptive.
At least that wat, clubs are only playing on Friday or occasional Thursday (not counting Magic weekend and the Easter games) and apparently, Fridays are very good for the corporate stuff.

Wakefield have won 6 from 12, Leigh 3 from 12 and they haven't won since 16 march.

Of course they will be up for it but, Trinity will want to do the business and if we get off to anything like a good start, the 2 points should be coming back to Yorkshire.

I think this is an important game for us, but I do think Chester will have targetted this one too.

Think if we start well and dont switch off, like we have had a tendency to do so we should be ok.

Strong squad with Toops back, but Arundel kick started the comeback last week with that break. A good position to be in.

Probably the most vulnerable team we've played in some weeks; and whilst SL is much more competitive this year, making any result possible in most games, this one is very definitely a game that we need to win. There's absolutely no value in running really good teams close, then capitulating to a team like Leigh, who are struggling to compete.

It's a must win game and we will do, comfortably. Leigh are proving to be what they are, a weak squad full of ageing forwards, slow backs and below average halfbacks, all lead by a coach who got the top job way too soon and isn't ready for this level. There isn't one player of theirs i'd have over ours. They'll try roughing is up early but stand up to them and we'll win by 20+.

I wouldn't go so far as saying any game is going to be comfortable, Leigh were solid in the first half against us and I'd expect that at home they're going to try their best to get a win. I do think we have enough to win the game, but I can't see it being the big win we all hope it will be. I'm more inclined to think it will be something like: Leigh 16 - Wakefield 22

Nah if we lose it'll be the refs fault, it always is!



Actually i'm just trying the arrogant Leigh fan style post of the last couple of years, just so they know how annoying it is!

I think this will be our hardest game of the 3 up coming games. They will be targeting this game and their attacking first half performance against us at Belle Vue was the best I've seen against us this season. Hoping for a win but wouldn't be at all surprised if we lose.

They haven't been arrogant of late ... and they also have some great supporters.
Anyway the bookies seem to think we will win by 4 ... so they predict a very close game!

It's tough to be arrogant when you've lost 7 games in a row and have been kicked from the Challenge Cup by a lower league team

Don't take it so personally, there is nothing any of us on here can do to influence the game but it is part of the fun having a guess who will win.

For what its worth 2 full strength sides IMO would be a close game.

Just basing it off round 12, Wakefield beat a fellow top 8 team by 20 points, and Leigh lost to a top 8 team by 22 points. Is it arrogant to suggest something similar could happen?

If you thought their first half was the best youve seen against us, you must have missed the Cas game and the pre season match agains the same opposition.

Scoring 16 would be a vast improvement on our last four games!

Makes me laugh when people goad the opposition supporters to say something and then accuse them of being over the top and arrogant.
Leigh have some idiot posters there is no doubt, but so have we.
On the whole I quite like Leigh and their supporters. They've tidied their act up a little since they were trying to bully everyone in before promotion.

We should treat this as a 'must work hard to win' rather than a 'should win'. We have a long and illustrious history of losing when we are starting to get some form together, especially against the teams below us.
I'm sure the lads will take it seriously and we can enjoy pulling away from that middle group in the league rather than slipping back in to the dog fight.

The Warrington win last night has made the table very interesting just below us. All three teams directly below us are currently on 11 points. If we can pick up a win tonight, and Catalans lose, we will start to see a bit of a space open up between us and the lower teams.
The Wigan lose also means that Wakefield are the only team outside of the top 4 who have a positive points difference

After going 20-0 up after after 14 minutes 2 silly errors in 4 mins has got Leigh back into the game.
