Didn't expect naff all from the game but to get that close and lose it in that fashion is a right kick in the balls.

As much as I detest Wigan ,I think they deserve some credit for playing three quarters of the game with a man down.

Looking at how the bottom 4 are playing, this is not the year to fall into 9th place. I cannot see anything but the super league 4 prevailing leaving the current 12 unchanged.
I notice Beaumont is questioning the support at Leigh which usually suggests he does not think he is getting value for his money, as it looks like another season in the championship. What about Bradford they may not even make the top 4 how will that impact of their chairman and players.
I wonder how long the RFL will continue with the experiment before they decide that it actually reduces the chance of a championship club gaining promotion.

I don't think we can complain. He sin binned 2 and sent one off. Would say it was one of his better games. He has no choice but to send off Laughlin. An awful head high tackle. He should cop a ban for it

Let's just say that I doubt he went for a drink in Wigan after the game.

For me, we should have done our utmost to concede a penalty in that last set. It would have wound down the clock and tempted Wigan into going for two and getting a draw, which would have got us into the top eight. That's where we missed out.

Wigan were too hot for us whenever they turned up the heat, but I can't moan about any Wakey player. I expected a thumping and we almost nicked it.

Great effort. I think if this team have proved anything under Chester, it's that the gulf between us and the 'big clubs' is reducing. On their day they are capable of beating any team in SL.
How typical is it of Wakefield to send a weakened team to a 'top club' expecting the thrashing after embarrassing Wigan earlier, only to nearly stuff Wigan again.
Oh and O'Loughlin - overrated and a dirty git and always has been.

Have to give Wigan some credit for coming back to win the game.

Hull FC beat Rovers Thursday night and it's all sorted anyway, you would think FC will be fired up for this one, surely?

Loughlin will hopefully get a 4 match ban and Charnley went off with a suspected serious shoulder injury so then may miss the CC Semi Final in 3 weeks...

After the game I was flat and gutted like everyone but this morning while still feeling we should have won feel very proud of all the players and that we took it to Wigan and went so very close.





Would like to see the final try from Wigan though as it did seem very close to being out.
