Me - I'll watch my club do what it does best - make a rag-tag group of players most clubs don't want into a 'team' of players that gets under everyone elses nose and wins more games than it is entitled to - and I will be able to say that they are my club, my team and I support them!

Yes and BS has brought in players that he believes improves the team? There is no hidden agenda here, BS is trying to build a competitive team and that's what he is doing.

Best signing so far for me this. Without doubt our best performer in the middle 8's. Lacks blistering pace but busts tackles and makes meters for fun. Get him on the front foot a bit more and see what he can do. Great news.

McShane was absolute garbage by the way, without doubt the worst hooker in Super League. Godinet every time.

No it would be both of them. McShane did naff all last season - Moore did more in the few games he played that's for sure

I am with you on Howarth. However Daryl Powell obviously thinks different and prefers McShane over Moore. I have also spoken
to a couple of Cas 'regulars' who said McShane is a far better player and were really happy at the outcome of the swap deal.

Take it you have forgotten about Moore costing us the game at Salford then. McShane did fine for us as anyone who knows the first thing about RL will tell you. He's not perfect hence he was with us but he is every bit as good, if not better in many aspects, than Moore is. They are just different styles and the swap suited us and Cas at the time. Moore will have an equal amount brain farts and good moments, it's the nature of the beast. He wouldn't be my choice but it sounds like he will be here again next year.

No but what I have remembered is that he adds an aggressive streak to our defence and offers more of a running threat than McShane ever did (take the try that sealed the MPG game as an example)

As for Tupou he is a decent signing if he plays on the wing where he has spent virtually all his career. He just hasn't got the skills in attack for centre and the lack of space meant his power was nullified and he never even crossed the tryline for us.

That aggressive streak nearly cost us twice in that game alone. It was a good run and he has got that ability but he can also be a liability and i think you'll see that next season. And actually as good as that run was he got lucky as it was the wrong call! He was very nearly caught at marker on the last with two minutes to go, it should have been banged into the corner! Anyway personally i'd have preferred Sio and Godinet rotating.

Bill Tupou is a good signing for winger next season due to his strong running along with Johnstone on the other wing. Owen when fit and Lynne to provide cover.

Outwide with 4/5 metres to the try line he will be hard to stop and should score a few if there is a decent centre inside him. Also good taking up the ball in Trinity's own half like Cockayne and Fox were a few seasons ago.

Just need Godinet, Anthony Tupou and Ben Pomeroy if there is the money and quota space for them.....Pomeroy and Tupou would be impressive with old Sharks colleague A.Tupou inside Pomeroy on that flank at second row.

Surely Godinet is staying? He can play 6,7 and 9.

I actually think he makes some valid points. We're signing the same players who got spanked pretty much every week this season. Not only that, but the majority of them looked like they didn't care either. And they seem to be getting rewarded for it! Maybe you'd be better finding another club where all the fans are happy with such sub standard performances and never speak out against anyone or anything?

So if we didn't re sign the players we have done, where are the players coming from to take their places?
The attitude of the players improved when BS took over, we didn't win as many as a lot of people expected but he moved players on and brought players in he could work with.
The club achieved what it set out to do at the start of the season without financial implosion.
It's not going to happen overnight at Wakey because even BS hasn't got a magic wand.

I'm ok with re-signing a fair amount of last years squad. By the comments on the signings it appears a lot of focus will be on pre-season working on what each individual player needs to strenthen their game. If these players are willing to stick to a rigid individual plan we could see some dramatic improvement in players like walker, arundel etc.

If smith thinks he can work with these players and mould them into a team over pre season im with him and will see how it plays.

I'm happy with the squad providing the pre season has a massive focus on it. I do think still we need to add in 2 quality players. Tupou would be one And someone like BJB or Ferguson the other.

So lets just sign players for sake of it.we didnt inprove thst much under b smith yes we stayed up but just.

So where are these 'mystery' players coming from?
BS brought players in that take time to settle in.
He is signing the best he can with the money he has.

Suggest Leedscat goes and follows Leeds. What part of 'we don't have the money to sign super stars' hasn't sunk in yet? We sign players we can afford, simple as. Some people don't get it. NO MONEY = NO SUPER STARS

But apparently we will spend the full cap this year which makes our cheque book as big as anyone else's.
