Let's build on the current partnership which has had 2 weeks together and has just helped put 56 past Catalans, not change it.

Idly reading the twitter site of mr Carter last week, he was asked about how the loan deal for Bishop was coming along... His reply was something along the lines:

What deal? You had better ask the press, they seem to know more than I do!

I think he is outstanding at fullback, and Wakefield fans have witnessed him destroy us with long range tries from that position. Can tackle too which helps

Whereas Brian McDermott was directly quoted saying that a few clubs had been in touch re BJB and Wakefield, who were first to inquire, was his likely destination for a loan period.

Agar confirmed on radio leeds that we missed out on BJB.

For their experience and quality as proven centres Collis and Sykes for me with Riley also a must on the wing instead of Lyne despite him playing well today.

Why bring Riley in on loan and don't play him? 120 tries in 180 games says it all.

I would imagine after today's performance there wouldnt be much change for London. Collis in for Washbrook in the 17. With the pivots looking so good there's no need to rush Harry in. Give him a week to train & fit into the structures.

Players like Molloy has given Agar a real headache. The lad took his chance greatly. Tautai, Scruton & Smith were also good. Having 3 other props returning from Injury soon in Anderson, Raleigh & Moore there's some real competition!

In regards Lynne or Sykes. Lynne had a decent game today & scored a very determined try in the first half (great grounding). However I feel Sykes gives you cover at full back, centre, halves and I'd also say 13. Out of interest has Sykes ever played 13 anywhere? Good hands, strong defender, good kicking game. Different position making more tackles than he's used to I know but be interested to see how he'd do!

He has ticks all the attributes boxes in my opinion.

I'm just amazed that we have the opportunity to talk about competition for places; 6 months ago, who'd have thought we'd end up with a squad like this?

Great work by MC and his team to get us to this position; it's up to RA and the players now to do their bit.

And on the subject of who to miss out, I haven't a clue; today hasn't helped make the decisions any easier, with Lyne, Molloy and Riley all playing well.

Mathers to remain at fullback. He had a good game yesterday and is our only specialist fullback, knocking him is negative so is replacing him unless you put someone better there. Sammut? Definitely not, leave him where he is. Sykes, I think now too slow. That said, I think Sykes has done a good job for us and deserves a place on the bench for his utility skills. Rest of it I'll leave to the coach!

James Webster said after the game that Washbrook had a torn calf. Can't see him playing next week.

With Washbrook out for weeks I'd be really surprised if Molloy didn't get another opportunity at 13 against London after his Catalan performance? Tautai is playing a blinder at prop being spelled so I'd leave him alone he has found his niche and Anderson is injured more likely Raleigh will be fit for London won't he?

On the subject of Sykes, I like him as he has genuine utility value across the backs and has made the second highest clean breaks according to the stats he's also got good hands for centre so could create for Riley?

But if not seen as suitable for 4 over Lyne (who is making the top yardage) it's a waste of place on the bench IMHO with the need for 3 forwards on the bench (2 props and 1 second row) and a utility player like Wildie who can cover 6/7/9 to ensure we have zip around the ruck area for the full 80.

Other option would be to move Godinet to 9 after 60 mins with Sykes coming on at 6 but I'd prefer to leave pivots as they are and Siejka may be looking for an opportunity like that off the bench in the next few weeks.

As said positive times with some genuine depth in the squad now there...

James Webster in the legends lounge seemed to indicate Anderson would be back sooner than Raleigh

I think he mentioned Anderson could be good to go next weekend.
